When an intended switching motion is sensed by the optical sensors within a predetermined period of time, loads are switched and the status of a switch is communicated to other switches, if any, along the same circuit (i.e., the “position” of the switch is changed). An indication of the “position” of the switch may be provided by way of a visual indicator. An acceptable switching motion may also result in an audible “click” or other signal.

The wall control unit has a wall control unit port for connection to the wire connection. A second switch commands the head unit to provide energization to a light source. An infrared detector causes a command signal to be sent to the head unit to control the illumination state of the light source.

    摘要: A movable barrier or garage door operator has a barrier drive for moving the movable barrier or garage door between open and closed positions. Motion of the barrier is detected by a tachometer connected to the barrier drive or by upper and lower barrier travel limit switches. A test is made to determine if the barrier has been commanded to be in a closed state and to determine if a preselected time interval has elapsed following closure of the barrier. When both of those conditions are present and the door is moved upward without authorization an alarm signal is generated and can signal the barrier drive to apply a closing force. The timer prevents the barrier from being closed on a person or obstacle during normal operation and prevents injury. An obstacle detector also prevents unwanted closure on an obstacle.

    摘要: A controller driven revolving door system has facing spaced apart curved panels partially enclosing three equiangularly spaced center shaft coupled wings and defining entry and exit openings. The controller automatically selectively directs traffic flow through the entry and exit openings and is responsive to a microwave motion detector at the entry and a mat switch in a quarter-point position accessable to the exit. A DC motor is coupled by a gearing assembly to the center shaft. The controller monitors current passing through the motor windings sensing shaft rotation. Responsive to the mat switch, the controller applies a resistive load to the DC motor windings to regeneratively brake the rotation of the door. The controller thereafter reverses the polarity of the motor windings causing the door to rotate in a reverse direction and back any individual out of the exit area. Drum edge switches on the curved panels sense interference with foreign objects to cause the controller to regeneratively brake, halting rotation of the center shaft. A handicapped person switch is provided to reduce motor current and reduce shaft rotation speed.

    摘要: An automatic gate arrangement has a hollow and tubular lower post part defining an upright post axis and fixed to one side of the path, an upper end wall transverse to the post axis, and lower fasteners releasably securing the upper end wall to the lower post part. A support fixed to the upper end wall extends upward along the post axis therefrom and pivotally supports a gate shaft at the post axis. A reversible drive motor fixed on and underneath the upper end wall in the lower post part has a rotary output extending through the upper end wall. A transmission between the rotary output and the shaft converts rotation of the output into oscillation about the post axis of the shaft. A C-shaped gate projects laterally from the post axis and is secured to the shaft by connecting means for joint rotation about the post axis unless the gate and shaft are relatively rotated about the post axis with a force exceeding a predetermined maximum force. A controller connected to the motor includes a proximity sensor upstream along the path from the post parts for operating the motor and oscillating the gate when a person is detected by the sensor. A hollow and tubular middle post part above the lower post part, centered on the post axis in axial alignment with the lower post part, and carried on the gate pivots therewith about the post axis. A hollow and tubular upper post part above the middle post part is centered on the post axis in axial alignment with the lower and middle parts. A rigid strut is fixed to the lower post part and support and lower fasteners secure the upper post part to the strut for relatively fixing the upper and lower post parts together.
