    摘要: A maintenance system for maintaining an elongate inkjet printhead. The maintenance system includes: a carriage movable longitudinally along the printhead, the carriage including a maintenance member having a primary suction nozzle facing inkjet nozzles of the printhead and a wiper adjacent the primary suction nozzle; a traversing mechanism for traversing the carriage longitudinally along the printhead; and an engagement mechanism for urging the wiper and the printhead into engagement with each other. During use, the wiper contacts a non-printing part of the printhead and the primary suction nozzle is spaced apart from the printhead.

The printing assembly has at least one supporting body which can be moved, in relation to the frame, in at least one parking direction and which extends at least in a transverse direction between side walls. At least one printing head is arranged on the at least one supporting body and can be moved jointly with the at least one supporting body.

    摘要: Provided is an air jet emission method used in a recording apparatus. The recording apparatus performs predetermined printing by ejecting ink droplets from a recording head provided in an apparatus body onto a medium. The medium is fed into the apparatus body while being guided by a guide and is transported from an upstream side, which is one side with respect to the apparatus body, toward a downstream side, which is an opposite side with respect to the apparatus body. The air jet emission method comprises: emitting a jet of air onto a surface of the transported medium at a predetermined area over a heating device at the upstream side, thereby blowing dust off the surface of the transported medium. The heating device is provided in the guide so as to apply heat to the transported medium.

The humidifying mechanism includes a humidified air generating device that generates humidified air, an output portion that outputs the humidified air generated by the humidified air generating device, and a receiving portion that receives the humidified air output from the output portion. The output portion includes a first opening and a second opening. An area of the second opening is greater than an area of the first opening, and the first opening is separated from the second opening in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The head is disposed between the output portion and the receiving portion in the first direction.
