摘要: in various implementations, a field-deployable system may include an array of two or more acoustic transducers arranged to propagate pressure waves through a hydrocarbon fluid medium. A method of stimulating a hydrocarbon fluid medium may include propagating pressure waves through the hydrocarbon fluid medium. The pressure waves may have an ultrasonic frequency and an amplitude sufficient to induce acoustic cavitation in the hydrocarbon fluid medium. A method of stimulating a solvent fluid medium may include propagating pressure waves through the solvent fluid medium, and inducing acoustic cavitation in the medium via the pressure waves. The acoustic cavitation may form a microjet that impinges a proximate solid surface to substantially remove hydrocarbon residue. An acoustic transducer may be configured to propagate pressure waves through a hydrocarbon fluid medium. The pressure waves may have an ultrasonic frequency and an amplitude sufficient to induce acoustic cavitation in the hydrocarbon fluid medium.

摘要: Disclosed herein are methods and apparatuses for cleaning at least one edge of a substrate. Exemplary methods and apparatuses include a cleaning system comprising (a) a plurality of fluid channels, (b) a plurality of brushes, (c) at least one nozzle, and (d) at least one vibration generator. The brushes may comprise a plurality of bristles and/or nodules and may be connected to at least one of the fluid channels such that fluid flows through the bristles and/or nodules to the substrate edge. At least one vibration generator may be connected to the cleaning system and configured to deliver sonic energy to the plurality of brushes.

The chemical injection pump is self-cleaning by employing either as an integral part or as an added part, a piezoelectric component that implosively cleans the pump head. This invention involves a liquid delivery system made of a liquid processing path and a piezoelectric actuator connected to or integral with said liquid processing path to enhance removal of unwanted solids from the liquid processing path or to maintain a blend, mix and/or integrity of a liquid chemical, wherein the liquid chemical does not precipitate particles, crystallize, separate or come out of solution.

摘要: The lifetime of aerosol monitoring, concentration and collection equipment is extended by acoustic cleaning of accreted particle deposits from internal surfaces where fouling occurs by application of acoustic energy to the particle accretion surface, optionally in combination with a liquid wash or sampling volume. In one application, acoustic cleaning or sampling of particle deposits for analysis is triggered by a signal indicating changes in gas flow associated with particle loading. In another application, electro-acoustic transducers may be used to prevent particle buildup without interruption of particle monitoring.

摘要: A system and method of cleaning an enclosure of a container defined by inner walls, including providing a container, orienting the container so that the opening is lowermost and opens downwardly and generating resonant vibration in the container at a predetermined frequency and at an energy level sufficient to dislodge any loose solid particles from the inner walls of said container but not being of an energy level to impact the structural integrity of the container and maintaining the resonant vibration within the container enclosure for a sufficient time to dislodge all loose solid particles from the inner walls of said container. The system may include a resonant chamber in the form of a shroud and means to effectuate the method steps and may also include a sanitizing step in which the containers are further sanitized to render inactive any organic contaminants.

摘要: An apparatus enhances the condensation and boiling of a fluid in heat exchange machines, by directly applying time-periodic acoustic waves with a resonance oscillation frequency to liquid drops and/or bubbles formed on a solid surface, when the fluid is in the process of condensation or boiling, thereby effectively removing them therefrom. The apparatus comprises a signal generator for generating a driving signal based on a resonant oscillation frequency of at least one of the liquid drops and the bubbles; and a vibrator, in response to the driving signal, for providing an acoustic pressure wave to said at least one of the liquid drops and the bubbles, to thereby detach them from the solid surface.

摘要: A sonic cleaning device and method for removing accumulated fine particles from surfaces such as in heat exchangers using sonic energy vibrations. In the invention, a gas is passed through a tube having internally corrugated walls and having the tube outlet end attached to the inlet end of an expanding horn. The gas flows past the corrugations at high velocity and produces high intensity sonic vibrations within the tube, and the vibrations are amplified by passage through the horn. The horn outlet is directed at a surface to be cleaned and the accumulated particles are fluidized by the sonic energy and removed from the surface by the flowing gas and/or by gravity.
