Abstract:
An integrated system for continuous production of processed meat products utilizing a continuous mixing system is disclosed. The system includes storage and pre-input hoppers, input lines for pumping streams of meat product constituents into a continuous grinder and mixer, rotating elements within the mixer for mixing the constituents, a surge hopper, equipment for further processing such as stuffing equipment, and transport to and utilization of a continuous thermal process.
Abstract:
A system for making processed meat products employing a feed-forward analysis wherein input streams are analyzed and their flow rates are controlled relative to each other. The system incorporates mixing devices in a housing through which the input streams are forced. The mixing devices provide high shear mixing and blending, and in some cases maceration and salt infusion for rapid protein extraction.
Abstract:
A system and method wherein meat product constituents are mixed under a high shear force to combine the constituents into a mixture having a stable protein matrix is disclosed. The system incorporates mixing devices in a housing into which the input streams are directed. The system then applies a high shear force over a small volume to mix the constituents together, thereby rapidly combining the meat constituents and other ingredients to rapidly form a stable protein matrix and eliminate the need for a curing stage for protein extraction.
Abstract:
A system and method for continuous processing of meat product constituents is disclosed. Selected meats are loaded into hoppers, and inputs lines direct the meats and other meat product constituents into a mixer. The mixer provides initial size reduction of the meats, grinds the meat, infuses and mixes the meats and other ingredients, forces protein extraction for forming a stable meat mixture, finely comminutes the mixture, and outputs the mixture.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a flexible screw feeder for conveying and/or mixing particulate solids comprising a hollow feed tube in which the particulate solid is transported from a first location to a second location; and auger conveying means within the feed tube comprising a shaft carrying a plurality of flexible elements helically arrayed to form a spiral.
Abstract:
A treatment material agitating and processing apparatus comprises a casing (1) having a supply inlet (13) and a delivery outlet (12) provided therein, an agitator (2) of a screw form arranged to extend lengthwise in the casing (1), and a driving mechanism (3) for driving the agitator (2) to rotate in the casing (1). The agitator (2) repeats a given pattern of its forward and backward rotating actions thus to agitate and convey the treatment material (A) throughout the casing (1). Accordingly, while the duration of the treatment material (A) staying in the casing is favorably determined by the pattern of the forward and backward rotating actions of the agitator (2), the agitated effect of the treatment material (A) can be preset to a desired level by adjusting the rotating speed of the agitator (2).
Abstract:
An apparatus for treating material, such as lignocellulose material, fibrous material, particulate material, cellulosic material, and the like. The apparatus includes a feed system, a reactor, a conveyor, and a discharge system. The feed system has an inlet for receiving the material from a supply source at ambient pressure conditions and an outlet for releasing the material. The reactor is used for treating the material and has an inlet connected to the outlet of the feed system for receiving the material released from the feed system, and an outlet for releasing the material treated by the reactor. The conveyor is located inside the reactor for conveying the material from the inlet of the reactor to the outlet thereof. The discharge system is used for discharging the material and has a chamber and a pump. The chamber has an inlet connected to the outlet of the reactor for receiving the material treated by the reactor, and an outlet. The pump is connected to the chamber for pumping liquid into the chamber so as to put the treated material received from the reactor in liquid suspension, thereby obtaining a liquid suspended treated material, said liquid suspended treated material being dischargeable from the apparatus into ambient pressure conditions through the outlet of the chamber.
Abstract:
Material processing apparatus (10) is provided for the simultaneous production of different characterized final products using a single, initially processed product stream. The apparatus (10) includes a barrel assembly (12) having an elongated, tubular barrel (16) with a flighted, axially rotatable screw (26) within the barrel, and an additive incorporation assembly (14) coupled with the barrel (16) and having a plurality of individual mixing chambers (34, 36) configured to receive and process individual, separate streams of product from the barrel assembly (12). Individual additive injectors (52, 54) are also provided for injection of additives such as colorants or the like into the respective product streams for mixing with the chambers (34, 36). Preferably, the assembly (14) includes a flow divider (32) having plural separate passageways (46, 48), which are in communication with the corresponding mixing chambers (34, 36). Each mixing chamber includes a tubular housing (56, 72) together with an internal, axially rotatable mixing member (104, 106). The mixing members are mounted on a common shaft (96), the latter being connected to screw (26).
Abstract:
A portable mixing/delivery apparatus mixes dry pre-blended materials, such as homogeneous cementitious combinations of dry sand, cement, lime, color pigments, etc., packaged in large bulk bags for use at a remote construction site. The bulk bag is lifted by a removable rack having plural lift eyes and the combination is positioned over a height adjustable frame. The granular material is then discharged into a continuous mixer having a dynamic input mixing stage, an output dry-to-wet mixing stage, and a transition stage therebetween. The enter assembly (bulk bag, frame and continuous mixer) is portable and can be lifted such as by a forklift to the height of a masonry scaffold for dispensing the mixed, wet granular material directly to the point of use. The apparatus allows the continuous mixer and its discharge tube to rotate to facilitate dispensing of the material directly to the point of use.
