Abstract:
The present invention relates to Pleurotus eryngii var. ferulae. More particularly, the present invention relates to a novel Pleurotus eryngii var. ferulae strain line following a line of DDL01 (KACC93085P) which is obtained by selecting a conventionally known Pleurotus eryngii var. ferulae strain and then cross-breeding the selected strain with the Pleurotus eryngii var. ferulae strain DDL01 (accession number: KACC93085P), and also relates to a fruit body obtained through cultivation of the strain.
Abstract:
A culture comprising at least one set of the chromosomes of the Agaricus bisporus line B12998-s39, the culture of the line B12998-s39 having been deposited under the NRRL Accession Number 50899, wherein said chromosomes comprise all of the alleles of the line B12998-s39 at the sequence-characterized marker loci listed in Table I. Methods are provided for introducing a desired trait into a culture of Agaricus bisporus line B12998-s39, as well as methods and processes for producing hybrid mushroom cultures. A method of mushroom strain development is further provided.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel shiitake strain Lentinula edodes (Berk.) Pegler GNA01 (accession No: KCCM11135P) and a fruit body produced by culturing the same. The fruit body exhibits a new morphology and a new taste.
Abstract:
This disclosure relates generally to the field of anti-pathogenic agents, including a modified defensin molecule with anti-pathogen activity. Genetically modified plants and their progeny or parts expressing or containing the modified defensin and anti-pathogen compositions for use in horticulture and agriculture and as animal and human medicaments are also provided.
Abstract:
An endophyte or endophyte culture of N. lolii species is described that, in combination with a host grass does not cause typical symptoms of ryegrass toxicosis in grazing animals and also contains levels of compounds from the class of janthitrems epoxides to individually or in combination protect the host grass from pests or abiotic stresses or both. Uses and methods are also described to produce and characterize the combination as well as alternative uses for compounds from the class of janthitrem epoxide compounds.
Abstract:
A living hydrated mycelium composite containing at least one of a combination of mycelium and fibers, mycelium and particles, and mycelium, particles and fibers is processed with a nutrient material to promote mycelia tissue growth; thereafter dehydrated to a moisture content of less than 50% by weight to deactivate the further growth of mycelia tissue; and then stored in the form of pellets. The stored pellets may thereafter be re-hydrated and molded or cast into panels that can be separated into cubes or bricks that can be stacked and re-hydrated for making fabricated sections.
Abstract:
The present variety of mushroom plant named ‘marmo shiro-2’ was cultivated by the gathering and repeated breeding of Bunashimeji mushrooms having dominant traits, which has good qualitative characteristics and appearance, less adhesion of the stem, excellent keeping qualities and storage life, and improved after-storage taste. This edible mushroom is exquisite in stability, reproducibility and uniformity when being produced.
Abstract:
The invention is an important innovation in mushroom culture in which not only are mycelia beneficially grown on the novel combination of a grain (or seed) and an herb, in the preferred embodiment of the invention the mycelial mass is grown in a co-fermentation with all of a grain (or seed), an herb and a juice. The resulting mycelial biomass contains dramatically improved medicinal and nutritional constituents compared to mushrooms grown on standard, prior art media.
Abstract:
A hybrid mushroom culture of Agaricus bisporus, designated as strain B14528, includes a representative culture of the strain, which has been deposited under NRRL Accession No. 50900. A method of producing a hybrid mushroom culture of Agaricus bisporus comprising: mating a homokaryotic line J12998-s39 with a homokaryotic line BW-s191. Additionally, mushrooms, parts of the culture and products incorporating the culture are provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to fungi of Acremonium spp, wherein said fungi are purified or isolated from plants of the Brachiaria-Urochloa complex and wherein, when said fungi are inoculated into a plant, said plant has improved resistance to diseases and/or pests relative to an uninocualated control plant. The present invention also relates to plants inoculated with such fungi, products produced by the fungi and related genes, proteins and methods.
