    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a remote user equipment (UE) may receive a measurement reference channel configuration from a source relay. The UE may transmit a reference channel based at least in part on the measurement reference channel configuration. The UE may receive, from the source relay, a command for the remote UE to switch from the source relay to a target relay based at least in part on a measurement of the reference channel transmitted from the remote UE. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: A configuration to enable a UE to monitor downlink control to determine a slot direction while operating in a half duplex operation in a FDD mode. The apparatus receives an indication of a slot pattern for a plurality of slots, wherein the slot pattern indicates the plurality of slots includes at least one flexible slot. The apparatus receives a downlink control monitoring occasion configuration. The apparatus monitors for downlink control from a base station based at least on the indication of the slot pattern and on the monitoring occasion configuration. The apparatus determines whether the at least one flexible slot is an uplink slot or a downlink slot based on a DCI. The apparatus transmits or receives communications on the slot based on the determination.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may operate in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state of a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. The UE may receive one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) over a serving single frequency network (SFN) for a first notification zone, wherein the first notification zone comprises a plurality of cells. The UE may perform a channel measurement procedure using the received one or more SSBs. The UE may determine, based at least in part on a result of the channel measurement procedure, that a channel performance metric for the serving SFN of the first notification zone fails to satisfy a threshold. The UE may perform a cell reselection procedure to identify a cell of a neighboring SFN for a second notification zone that has a channel performance metric satisfying the threshold.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control message including a first parameter and a second parameter. The first parameter may identify a first uplink control channel resource set for a first type of UE. The second parameter may identify a second uplink control channel resource set for a second type of UE. In some cases, a UE may receive the control message before receiving configuration information identifying a uplink control channel resource configuration. In some cases, a UE may optionally select an uplink control channel resource set based at least in part on the control message and a type of the UE. Also, a UE may transmit on an uplink using a communication configuration associated with the selected uplink control channel resource set. Numerous other aspects are provided.
