    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may identify a scheduling window associated with acquiring a system information message, wherein the scheduling window is based at least in part on control channel monitoring occasions associated with a control channel, wherein the control channel is to schedule a data channel that includes the system information message; and receive the control channel based at least in part on the scheduling window, wherein the control channel is received within the scheduling window. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may obtain access to a base station by performing an initial access procedure within an initial access bandwidth that contains control channel resources. The UE may receive a configuration of a downlink bandwidth part (BWP) following the initial access procedure, and may determine that the downlink BWP fully contains the initial access bandwidth. In some cases, the UE may make the determination based on an indication sent from the base station. For instance, the indication may be provided as part of one or more control channel configurations transmitted to the UE. Based on determining that the downlink BWP fully contains the initial access bandwidth, the UE may monitor for control information in the downlink BWP using control channel resources in the downlink BWP that correspond to control channel resources used in the initial access bandwidth.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a request message to a base station while operating in an idle mode. The base station may generate, in response to the request message, a response message including a random access preamble index corresponding to the received request message. In some cases, the base station may determine a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) based on the random access preamble index and scramble a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) of the response message with the RNTI. In some examples, the random access preamble index may be included in a payload of the response message. The UE may monitor a physical downlink control channel for the response message to the request message and receive the response message on the physical downlink control channel.

    Abstract: Aspects described herein include receiving, at a base station operating in a wireless communication network, at least one chirp signal including at least one system information block request bitmap that identifies one or more of a plurality of system information blocks corresponding to each of one or more system information requests, identifying the one or more system information requests, generating a message in response to the one or more system information requests, encoding at least the portion of the message based at least in part the at least one system information block request bitmap to define an encoded message; and transmitting, over a broadcast channel, the encoded message in response to the chirp signal. A user equipment may include aspects for transmitting the chirp signal and receiving the encoded message.
