    Abstract: This application provides a multichannel-based signal transmission method and apparatus. The method includes: combining N groups of lower-order modulation symbols into N groups of higher-order modulation symbols, where an ith higher-order modulation symbol in each group of higher-order modulation symbols is obtained by combining ith lower-order modulation symbols in all the N groups of lower-order modulation symbols, each group of lower-order modulation symbols includes M lower-order modulation symbols, i=1, 2, . . . , M, N is a positive integer greater than 1, and M is a positive integer greater than 1; determining N to-be-sent signals based on the N groups of higher-order modulation symbols; and sending a kth to-be-sent signal in the N to-be-sent signals by using a kth channel in N channels, where k=1, 2, . . . , N.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a pilot transmission method and a data transmission apparatus in a wireless local area network. The pilot transmission method in a wireless local area network in the present disclosure includes: applying a pilot matrix to an LTF to generate a pilot, and sending the pilot, where the pilot matrix includes: a matrix formed from pilot sequences each having a pilot coefficient of each of the spatial flows, where the spatial flow is on M subcarriers in N symbol periods, the pilot matrix is an orthogonal matrix, M is a positive integer multiple of L, and L is a quantity of spatial flows. According to the present disclosure, channel estimation precision can be improved.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe a single carrier-based data transmission method and apparatus. The method may include generating a frame and sending the frame. A data part of the frame includes 2N data blocks, the 2N data blocks are arranged in a sequence from the first data block to the 2Nth data block. Furthermore, the data block includes a payload part and a guard interval (GI), payload parts of different data blocks are separated by GIs, and a payload part of the 2nth data block is obtained by multiplying a payload part of the (2n−1)th data block by a phase-shift sequence, where n=1, 2, . . . , N, and N is an integer greater than 0. By using the foregoing manner, data transmission robustness can be improved and data transmission for a longer distance can be supported.

The method includes: sending L groups of pilots in an omnidirectional direction manner, where the L groups of pilots are received by UE by using L directional directions, and the L groups of pilots are used by the UE to switch to a directional direction with best channel quality in the L directional directions; sending, by a base station, S groups of pilots by using S directional directions respectively; determining, by the base station, an optimal directional direction in the S directional directions according to the channel quality corresponding to the S groups of pilots; and switching, by the base station, to the optimal directional direction in the S directional directions.

    Abstract: An electronically steerable antenna with dual polarization is provided, as well as a method for steering such an antenna. An example antenna may include a driven patch element having dual polarity for radiating or receiving a first beam with a first polarization and radiating or receiving a second beam with a second polarization. The antenna includes a parasitic patch element separated from the driven patch element and in a parasitic coupling arrangement to the driven patch element, as well as first and second tuning elements linked to the parasitic patch element to control first and second terminating impedances of the parasitic patch element, respectively. The first terminating impedance at least partly determines a direction of the first beam, and the second terminating impedance at least partly determines a direction of the second beam.
