Abstract: A display device and a display apparatus are provided by the present disclosure. A curved portion of the cover plate of the display device includes a first point, when a first virtual normal line perpendicular to a surface of the curved portion where the first point is located extends toward a display area, the first virtual normal line does not intersect with the light-shielding portion adjacent to the first point and intersects with the display area. Therefore, a non-display area is capable of having a same forward light output as the display area, allowing users to experience a narrower border or even borderless visual experience when viewing the display device.
