Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify that the UE is operating in a dual-connectivity configuration with a master node (MN) and a secondary node (SN). The UE may receive at least one request that the UE report MDT measurements. The UE may perform a first portion of measurements associated with the first base station and perform a second portion of measurements associated with the second base station. The UE may perform the measurements while the UE is operating in the dual-connectivity configuration. The UE may transmit one or more reports including information indicative of the first portion of measurements, information indicative of the second portion of measurements, or both.

The method may include receiving from a master cell group of a dual connectivity environment a first message indicating that a secondary cell group of the dual connectivity environment is suspended, maintaining a lower layer configuration for the secondary cell group and modifying a measurement report configuration for the secondary cell group based on the first message and while the secondary cell group is suspended, receiving from the master cell group a second message indicating that the secondary cell group is no longer suspended, and reconnecting to the secondary cell group using the lower layer configuration for the secondary cell group based on the second message.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided that improve data packet exchange between a UE in an inactive mode and a network. In certain configurations, the apparatus may receive, from a user equipment (UE) in an active mode, a first packet including a first identifier associated with an anchor base station, a second identifier associated with a UE context, and a payload. The apparatus may identify the anchor base station based at least in part on one or more of the first identifier associated with the anchor base station or the second identifier associated with the UE context. The apparatus may transmit a second packet to the anchor base station. The second packet may include at least a portion of the first packet.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may autonomously initiate a handover procedure and select a target base station for the handover procedure. The UE may measure a signal from the source base station or the target base station, or both, and the UE may determine whether specific criteria at both base stations are within a pre-configured range. If the criteria at both base stations are within the pre-configured range, the UE may identify the target base station as a potential candidate for a handover. Accordingly, when the UE determines that radio conditions with the source base station are deteriorating (or fall below a threshold), the UE may initiate a handover to the target base station autonomously and without specific direction from the source base station.

An exemplary method generally includes receiving access control information associated with one or more services used by the UE for communicating with the wireless communications network, receiving a request to transmit traffic using the one or more services, checking a type of the traffic against the access control information, and scheduling the traffic for transmission if the type of the traffic satisfies one or more criteria in the access control information based on the checking.

Abstract: Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate packet routing among relay nodes in a wireless network. Bearer quality of service (QoS) mapping is provided for internet protocol (IP) relays by utilizing differentiated services (DiffServ) code point (DSCP) values to determine a bearer for communicating related packets. In addition, SDF filtering at a gateway node can be modified to route packets over certain tunnels to provide QoS for the packets.

Abstract: Systems and methods for prioritizing transmission control protocol (TCP) flows for communication devices in a network are described herein. The systems and methods herein may further allocate bandwidth to the flows based on the priority of the flows. Further, the systems and methods herein allow devices to determine whether particular flows share a traffic flow constraint or bottleneck that limits the overall available bandwidth to the flows. Therefore, allocation of bandwidth for one flow may be adjusted based on allocation of bandwidth to another flow if the flows share a traffic flow constraint. Further, the systems and methods herein allow for target data rates to be determined for the flows based on shared traffic flow constraints.
