Abstract: A photovoltaic system, and an assembly method, for maximizing electric power production during low solar elevation angles, including at least a bifacial photovoltaic module, disposed on a substantially vertical first plane, mounted on a structural support and placed substantially facing the east on one side and the west on the other side, and at least two specular or metallic reflectors facing each side of the bifacial photovoltaic module at an angle of 73°±20° relative to the vertical. The reflectors are shaped or structured so that a fraction of the sun-light incident along a direction that is parallel to the photovoltaic module is redirected towards the photovoltaic module, thus maximizing the electric power production for conditions of low solar elevation such as winter, early morning and late afternoon, and protecting the photovoltaic module from overheating during noon and summer.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a lens for an ultrasound apparatus, as well as to an apparatus comprising the lens. The method comprises choosing a source point, providing a treatment volume situated inside a bone tissue model, providing a plurality of nodes distributed inside the treatment volume, and simulating the emission of a spherical wave from each of the nodes. Thus, a simulated wave front is created, in which each spherical wave has an amplitude and a phase, there being at least two nodes with different amplitudes and/or phases. The simulated wave front is received on a receiving surface. On the basis of the processed results, a holographic lens surface is designed, which can generate a wave pattern equivalent to the simulated wave.

Another object of the invention relates to a cryogen-gas liquefaction system and a method for liquefaction of gases that comprises said system.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method to capture CO2 from the flue gases emitted intermittently from a power plant burning a synthetic fuel in power-to-fuel-to-power systems. The method comprises arranging a reservoir of Ca(OH)2 to feed a flow of such solids to a countercurrent carbonator located in the flue gas path of the power plant, separating the resulting carbonated solids from the CO2 depleted-gas, storing the carbonated solids in a reservoir of CaCO3 while the power plant is operating, calcining a steady flow of carbonated solids to produce CaO solids and CO2 when the power plant is not operating, hydrating the resulting CaO solids with water to replenish the reservoir of Ca(OH)2 and feeding the CO2 to the power-to-fuel system to manufacture and store the synthetic fuel burned when the power plant is operating.
