摘要： A security device for securing around a generally cylindrical article such as the neck of a bottle includes a housing which forms a lock compartment and which contains an EAS security device and a magnetically actuated lock mechanism. A ratchet strap have a series of locking teeth and is formed integrally with the housing and extends outwardly therefrom and has sufficient rigidity to assume a generally circular configuration with a curved article contact surface of the housing to facilitate attaching the device around the article. The lock mechanism includes a locking pawl which engages the strap teeth and an actuation strip which biases the pawl toward locking engagement with the strap.

摘要： A theft deterrent device includes first and second jaws pivotally connected to one another and pivotally movable between open and closed positions. The jaws form in the closed position an interior chamber and a through passage for receiving therethrough a portion of an article of merchandise. A lock slide is slidable within the interior chamber between locked and unlocked positions and lockable by a lock in the locked position to secure the first and second jaws together in the closed position. The lock slide includes lock hooks which lockably engage lock hooks of the second jaw. The lock slide includes locking and unlocking ledges which a resilient, magnetically attractable lock finger of the lock respectively engages in the locked and unlocked positions. An externally accessible thumb grip operatively engages the lock slide to move it between the locked and unlocked positions. An EAS tag is disposed within the device.

摘要： A security device for holding cylindrical items of merchandise includes a cylindrical housing having a pivotably mounted lid moveable between open and closed positions. The lid includes an outer shell pivotally attached to the housing and an inner slide member mounted within the outer shell and rotatable between locked and unlocked positions to prevent unauthorized removal of the cylindrical item. An EAS tag is contained in the lid together with a spring biased locking finger activated by a magnetic field for movement of the slide member to an unlocked position.

摘要： A security device includes a housing containing a ratchet mechanism and a rotatable spool for storing a plurality of cable loops which extend outwardly from a plurality of openings formed in the housing and wrapped around the sides of a box-like object. A collar is mounted on the bottom of the housing and has openings adjacent each of the housing opening requiring the cable loops to abruptly change direction after exiting the housing and passing either beneath or above the collar before extending along the secured object. This abrupt change of direction reduces the amount of force which are exerted on the cable loops from being transmitted onto the ratchet mechanism. In alternate embodiments, adjacent cable loops pass through one or a pair of rings which cause a change of direction in the cable loops to reduce the transmission of forces onto the ratchet mechanism.

摘要： A method of fabricating a tag includes the steps of applying a first patterned adhesive to the surface of the substrate and applying a first electrically conductive foil to the first patterned adhesive. A portion of the first electrically conductive foil not adhered to the first patterned adhesive is removed and a second patterned adhesive is applied to a portion of a surface area of the tag. A preformed second electrically conductive foil is applied to the second patterned adhesive to adhere the second electrically conductive foil to the surface of the substrate and portions of the first and second electrically conductive foils are electrically coupled to each other to form a tag circuit. A second patterned adhesive can be disposed between the first and second electrically conductive foils.

摘要： A security device includes a locking member, a ratchet mechanism, and a plurality of cables. The cables extend through both a fastener and a base of the locking member and are wrapped around all six sides of a box-like structure. The fastener is releasably snap-fitted into the base of the locking member and secured therein by a magnetically attractable tine. The ratchet mechanism includes a housing containing a spool and a locking pawl. A bottom wall encloses a portion of the housing and includes a rotatable central portion having a key receiving recess for unlocking the spool from the pawl. The housing has a rotatable top wall portion which includes a flip-up handle for rotating the top wall portion and the internal ratchet to tighten the cable about an article. An alarm system is contained in the housing of the ratchet mechanism and actuates an audible alarm upon certain unauthorized actions occurring. An LED located within the housing provides a visual indication that the alarm system is activated.

摘要： A system for tracking items includes a turntable to receive a pallet containing articles having RFID devices, a wrap dispenser to wrap the articles with wrap as the turntable rotates and a transceiver disposed on the wrap dispenser to transmit and receive a signal from the RFID devices while the turntable is rotating and wrapping the articles. A method is provided including loading articles having RFID devices thereon on a pallet, loading the pallet on a turntable, attaching an end of a wrap to at least one of the articles, rotating the turntable to cause the wrap to encircle the articles until all of the articles are constrained in position by the wrap, transmitting a signal to the RFID devices to cause the each RFID device to emit a signal back to the transceiver, and reading the signals from the RFID devices to obtain information contained in the signals.

The process uses flexible polyester and/or other films as a base component of the bridge. A wire is heated and embedded into the poly sheet at precise locations in a continuous process, for example, with the poly continuously moving in a machine direction. The locations of the wire make chip placement onto the wire track reliable and inexpensive, preferably using heat and pressure to bond the chips with the embedded wire and form a protected RFID circuit.
