Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for search space channel sensing in sidelink communication between one or more sensors/actuators (SAs) and programmable logic controller (PLC) in internet of things (IoT) applications. Particularly, the techniques described herein configure a search space (e.g., subset of all available sub-channels/resources) for transmission and reception of sidelink packets (e.g., physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) and physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH)) between the PLC from the one or more SAs. Thus, in some instances, the UE may perform congestion control metrics for a one or more search spaces in which the UE may transmit sidelink communications. The congestion control metrics that may be limited to the search space may preserve UE resources that would otherwise need to be expended to perform channel sensing on an entire resource pool prior to initiating sidelink communication.

Abstract: Various embodiments include methods for managing uplink timing advance configuration of wireless devices by a base station. A wireless device may send an initial access signal to a base station, receive from the base station an initial timing advance value responsive to the initial access signal, and send to the base station a next signal comprising a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) waveform via uplink (UL) receive (Rx) points over two or more beams. The base station may receive the next signal including the PRACH waveform via the two or more UL Rx points, select a refined timing advance value based on the signal, and send the refined timing advance value to the wireless device. The wireless device may receive the refined timing advance value and send a further signal to the base station via one of the UL Rx points using the refined timing advance.

Abstract: Techniques for wireless communication are described. A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes identifying a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) to transmit in an uplink pilot time slot (UpPTS) of a subframe, determining whether to transmit uplink control information (UCI) on the PUSCH in the UpPTS, and transmitting the PUSCH in the UpPTS based at least in part on the determining. A method for wireless communication at a network access device includes determining whether to schedule a transmission of UCI on a PUSCH in a UpPTS of a subframe, scheduling the PUSCH in the UpPTS based at least in part on the determining, and transmitting, to a UE, scheduling information for the PUSCH in the UpPTS.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for implementing signaling for indicating a scheduled full duplex (FD) uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) traffic scheduling combination for differentiation of FD traffic. In some aspects, a BS may transmit a downlink control information (DCI) message that includes an indication of the scheduled FD UL and DL traffic scheduling combination. The FD UL and DL traffic scheduling combination may identify scheduled UL and DL transmissions for FD mode operation. The UE may receive the DCI message and identify the scheduled FD UL and DL traffic scheduling combination. In some aspects, the BS may provide a DCI message to the UE that indicates whether a DL transmission is being scheduled that at least partially overlaps with a scheduled UL transmission. The UE may initiate a power save mode based on the received DCI message.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to communication systems, apparatus and methods which enable or support transmitting/receiving downlink control information (DCI) carrying a downlink grant or an uplink grant. A method includes detecting a reference length based on an effective length of a downlink (DL) grant DCI and an effective length of an uplink (UL) grant DCI and calculating a length difference based on the effective DL grant DCI length and the effective UL grant DCI length. A length of a padding field in the DL grant DCI and/or the UL grant DCI is set equal to the calculated length difference such that the lengths of the DL grant DCI and UL grant DCI are both equal to the reference length. Padding bits are inserted in the padding field of the DL grant DCI and/or the UL grant DCI. Thereafter, the DL grant DCI and/or the UL grant DCI is encoded and transmitted to a scheduled entity.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, on an access link from a base station, a first downlink control information (DCI) that schedules a first communication on a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) and a second DCI that schedules a second communication on the PSSCH. The first communication and the second communication may be scheduled according to a rule for overlapping or ordering communications on the PSSCH that are associated with one or more hybrid automatic repeat request identifiers. Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, an originator UE transmits a sidelink beam training (BT) reference signal (BTRS) a first number of times on each of a first set of beams, and a sidelink discovery message a second number of times on each of a second set of beams, wherein each beam from the second set of beams is associated with at least one beam from the first set of beams (e.g., 1:1 or N:1 mapping of first set of beams to second set of beams). At least one responder UE responds by transmitting, after the transmission of the sidelink BTRSs and the sidelink discovery messages, a BT response signal and a sidelink discovery response message on a beam corresponding to one of the first set of beams.
