    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for transmitting reference signals (RS) for positioning. A method comprises transmitting or providing an instruction to transmit a first set of RS to a user equipment (UE) in accordance with a first set of RS transmission parameters, receiving a report containing information indicating whether a measurement performed by the UE is limited by a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the first set of RS or a bandwidth of the first set of RS, determining a second set of RS transmission parameters using the received report, wherein the second set of RS transmission parameters is different from the first set of RS transmission parameters, and transmitting a second set of RS to the UE in accordance with the second set of RS transmission parameters, or providing the second set of RS transmission parameters to a base station.

    Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus communicates with a second apparatus, including transmitting or receiving a first transmission. The apparatus receives information about the second UE from a sensor at the first UE and/or from a BSM. The apparatus determines whether the first apparatus and the second apparatus are in a LOS condition based on a correlation of the information with one or more of a channel estimation, PMI feedback, or RI feedback. The apparatus may adapt a transmission parameter for a second transmission based on a predicted location of the first apparatus or the second apparatus. The transmission parameter may include at least one of a modulation, a code rate, a DMRS density, a precoder, a CSI-RS transmission periodicity or a feedback rate.

    Abstract: Aspects are provided which handle dynamic blockage of beams transmitted by a base station to UEs in millimeter wave communication. In one aspect, the base station identifies at least two UEs with which the base station has established a link and which may be potentially blocked from the base station by a dynamic blocker such as a moving vehicle. After the potentially blocked UEs are identified, the base station schedules all identified UEs for joint beam training and receives feedback transmitted by the UEs to determine if a dynamically blocked spatial region exists. If a blockage exists, the base station performs a follow-up procedure to avoid the dynamically blocked spatial region and provide coverage for the UEs, for example, by blanking out or not using blocked beams in subsequent beam training and/or by coordinating with a neighbor cell. The base station may thus proactively improve coverage of dynamically blocked UEs.

    Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may perform a slot reservation procedure to obtain a TxOP for communicating with a second UE. The slot reservation procedure may be performed in an earliest slot in the TxOP in which the first UE has data to send to the second UE. The apparatus may transmit the data to the second UE using at least one slot in the TxOP when the slot reservation procedure is successful. In certain aspects, all remaining slots in the TxOP may be reserved for the first UE when the slot reservation procedure is successful. The apparatus may refrain from performing a subsequent slot reservation procedure in another slot in the TxOP when the slot reservation procedure is unsuccessful unless an end of transmission signal is received during the TxOP.

    Abstract: A device may use sidelink request and sidelink response (e.g., DSS/STS and DRS) resources (in a sub-band) of different sizes depending on whether the sub-band is a primary sub-band or secondary sub-band. The device may transmit more information in the request/response resources of a primary sub-band than in the request/response resources of a secondary sub-band. The device may transmit small amounts of information in its request/response resources in secondary sub-bands. The resources in the secondary sub-bands may include, for example, reference signals, and signals indicating occupation of the sub-band. The device may utilize tone signaling for request/response signaling in the secondary sub-bands (at least because the amount of information being conveyed in the secondary sub-bands is small) and digital signaling in the primary sub-band (at least because the amount of information being conveyed in the primary sub-band is large in comparison to that being conveyed in the secondary sub-bands).
