Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enhance a HARQ feedback operation to improve data retransmissions by using tri-state HARQ feedback, and may enable a UE to construct a codebook for tri-state HARQ feedback. In one aspect, a UE determines whether tri-state HARQ feedback or bi-state HARQ feedback is configured based on a DL carrier. The UE generates HARQ feedback for at least one of a received PDCCH or a received PDSCH on the DL carrier based on the determination whether the DL carrier is configured with the tri-state HARQ feedback. The UE transmits the generated HARQ feedback.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described herein. A user equipment (UE) may generate a set of feedback bits corresponding to sidelink messages received via one or more sidelink channels. The UE may transmit a first sidelink message via a first feedback resource of a physical sidelink feedback channel occasion. The first sidelink message may include a first subset of the feedback bits. The UE may transmit at least two additional sidelink feedback messages via respective feedback resources. The first additional sidelink feedback message may include the first subset of feedback bits and a second subset of feedback bits encoded using an erasure coding function.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) having partially coherent antennas may be configured for simultaneous transmissions on groups of antennas. To achieve the benefits of simultaneous transmissions using groups of antenna that are partially coherent, without having the transmissions affect each other, the UE may apply a hybrid closed-loop multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) scheme among each antenna in the antenna groups where phase coherence can be maintained. Following the hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme, the UE may apply a transparent diversity scheme across each antenna of the groups. Alternatively, the UE may first apply the transparent diversity scheme and next apply the hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme. By applying a hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme, and a transparent diversity scheme, the UE may fully realize its resources and contribute to an improved spatial diversity for a MIMO system.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to wireless communications in a system are provided. A user equipment (UE) may receive from a base station (BS), a subband precoding configuration including a first number of bits and an indication of a common size for each subband of a set of subbands. The UE may select a plurality of precoders from a precoder candidate set based on the first number and the common size. The precoder candidate set may be based on an order of a spatial direction. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to adjust a random access message that is transmitted to a base station in an asynchronous uplink transmission. The UE may use a constrained mapping of time and frequency resources for the random access message or transmit all portions of the message in a continuous transmission. The UE may also adjust the timing of the portions of the message. The base station may use a portion of the message, such as a preamble, to perform channel estimation for another portion of the message, such as a payload, to improve decoding of the transmitted message. Additionally, the UE may configure a waveform of the message to improve the continuous transmission of the message, for example by reducing interference between portions of the message.

Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods relate to selecting transmission parameters that optimize a dimension (e.g., time, frequency, and/or spatial) under a set of constraints. A UE may receive a resource allocation mode indication and a traffic parameter indication from a BS. The resource allocation mode indication informs the UE to optimize along a time dimension, a frequency dimension, and/or a spatial domain. The traffic parameter indication informs the UE what constraints to consider for the transmission parameters. The UE may use this information upon receipt of a reference signal in selecting transmission parameters based on the received reference signal, resource allocation mode indication, and traffic parameter indication. The resource allocation mode may correspond to optimization within a single slot or across multiple slots. Once selected, the UE may transmit the transmission parameters to the BS for use in sending the message to the UE.
