Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining geographic clusters of geographical content may include computation of a first evaluation metric. The first evaluation metric may be descriptive of a distribution of geo-location points within a cluster of a plurality of geographic clusters. A second evaluation metric may also be computed that is descriptive of coherence of the plurality of geographic clusters. Geo-location points of the geographical content may be clustered based, at least in part on the first and second evaluation metrics.

Abstract: A method and/or technique for geolocation safety awareness is provided herein. When a user, having a client device, travels to a location, threats associated with that location may not be known to the user. To determine a safety of the location, the location of a client device may be determined. A search for safety information about the location may be performed, and a threat level may be determined based upon the safety information. When the threat level exceeds a threat threshold, a security operation may be performed. The security operation may comprise presenting a warning notice to the user and/or activating a security timer.

Abstract: Software for a content-aggregation website generates a first representation of interests for a geographical location. The representation includes a plurality of entities that are derived from a corpus of documents. Each of the plurality of entities is associated with an expected value that is based on engagement signals from users in the geographical location and that is weighted using a sparse-polarity approach to be discriminative with respect to other entities. Each of the ingested articles is represented by the second representation that associates an aboutness score with each of the plurality of entities. The software uses the first representation, a similarity measure, and a second representation to create rankings of a plurality of ingested articles received. Then the software receives a request for access to the content-aggregation service from a new user from the geographical location and serves the new or infrequent user a content stream based on the rankings.

Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for emotional reaction sharing are provided. For example, a client device captures video of a user viewing content, such as a live stream video. Landmark points, corresponding to facial features of the user, are identified and provided to a user reaction distribution service that evaluates the landmark points to identify a facial expression of the user, such as a crying facial expression. The facial expression, such as landmark points that can be applied to a three-dimensional model of an avatar to recreate the facial expression, are provided to client devices of users viewing the content, such as a second client device. The second client device applies the landmark points of the facial expression to a bone structure mapping and a muscle movement mapping to create an expressive avatar having the facial expression for display to a second user.
