    摘要: A power supply system includes a transformer having a primary winding on its primary side for coupling to a power source and one or more secondary windings on its secondary side. A first control circuit is disposed on the primary side of the transformer for controlling a current flow in the primary winding. A second control circuit disposed on the secondary side of the transformer, and the second control circuit is configured to provide a regulated output voltage. In the power supply system, the first control circuit is configured to generate a control signal for controlling the current flow in the primary winding without using a feedback control signal from the secondary side of the transformer.

    摘要: A backlight apparatus includes light emitting diode (LED) modules. Each LED module includes a first connection pin set, a second connection pin set, a driving circuit, a first LED string, and a second LED string. Each of the connection pin sets has a first and second power connection pins and a first and second ground connection pins. The first and second power connection pins are coupled to each other, and the first and second ground connection pins are coupled to each other. The first ground connection pin of the first connection pin set is coupled to the first power connection pin of the second connection pin set. The driving circuit is used to provide a driving signal. Each of the LED strings is serially connected between the second power connection pin and the second ground connection pin of each of the connection pin sets and receives the driving signal.

    摘要: A solid state lighting system and components therefor are provided that are modular, rugged, reliable and energy efficient. Heat dissipation with respect to solid state light fixtures may be addressed by inverting the solid state lights on a circuit board to project light through apertures in the circuit board, so that heat need not be dissipated through the circuit board itself. In addition, solid state light fixtures may be coupled to one another along with a power supply in modular strands that incorporate AC/DC multi-wire cords that carry both AC and DC signals. Additional functionality, such as support for multiple lighting modes, may also be included, e.g., to support blackout lighting in addition to standard lighting. The multiple lighting modes may be selected, for example, by adjusting an electrical parameter of the AC power signal supplied to the lighting system, e.g., by rectifying the AC power signal.

    摘要: A multicolored LED luminaire module is provided that can be controlled using a single driver and only two wires. The LED luminaire module comprises a plurality of LEDs and a sequencer. The sequencer connects each LED to the circuit in a predetermined order. Synchronously with the sequencer, the driver transmits a control signal comprising a time division multiplexed (TDM) signal that combines the driving currents for each LED into one TDM signal. The sequencer and TDM rate are sufficiently fast such that the light emitted by the LED luminaire appears to be the combined light from all the LEDs.

    摘要: A driving apparatus includes a voltage transforming unit and a detector. The driving apparatus is used for supplying a drive voltage to a load. The voltage transforming unit is used for transforming a direct current (DC) voltage to the drive voltage. The detector is connected to the load for detecting a forward voltage across the load to generate a detecting voltage; wherein the detector compares the detecting voltage with a first reference voltage. If the detecting voltage is smaller than the first reference voltage, the detector generates a first feedback signal; the voltage transforming unit increases the drive voltage according to the first feedback signal, the detecting voltage is defined by subtraction of the forward voltage from the drive voltage.

    摘要: An LED based omni-directional light engine includes a toroidal lens coupled to a controller circuit board and two or more evenly spaced LEDs mounted to the controller circuit board. The toroidal lens includes an inner surface coated with a layer of reflection materials, an outer surface, and a flat base surface. The controller circuit board is electrically coupled to a power source. The LEDs are located immediately under the flat base surface. The inner surface substantially reflects light beams emitted from the LEDs to the outer surface which refracts the beams to the omni-directions.
