    摘要: A sealed switch has a vessel defining therein a hermetically sealed space which receives a pair of fixed contacts and a movable contact bridging the fixed contact. The movable contact is movable between an ON-position of closing with the fixed contact and an OFF-position of separating from the fixed contacts. Hydrogen gas or hydrogen rich gas is filled in the sealed space in order to suppress arc development between the movable and fixed contacts. The plunger carries at its axial one end the movable contact and carrying at the other axial end an actuator which moves the plunger axially for movement of the movable contact from the OFF-position to the ON-position. An over-travel spring is provided to give a bias for moving the movable contact relative to the plunger in order to develop a contacting pressure between the movable and fixed contacts. The over-travel spring is supported to a spring holder secured to the plunger. The plunger is formed with a threaded portion which extends through the actuator to allow the plunger to move axially relative to the actuator for adjustment of a contact gap between the movable and fixed contact, and the spring holder is formed with stopper protrusions which project in abuttable and slidable relation to the interior surface of the vessel such that the movable contact is prevented from rotating together with the plunger. Accordingly, the spring holder is best utilized to restrict the movable contact from rotating together with the actuator to enable an easy adjustment of the contact gap simply by rotating the actuator.

The electromagnetic switch comprises a case, a coil bobbin mounted with a solenoid, a plunger with an integral contact rod axially slidably received in the bore of the coil bobbin, a stationary core fixedly held on the open end of the case so as to limit the range of movement of the plunger, a contact holding member axially slidably mounted on the contact rod of the plunger, a moving contact held on the contact holding member, a stopping means provided at the extremity of the contact rod, a cap joined to the case, and a stationary contact attached to the cap opposite to the moving contact. An elastic packing and a wave spring are inserted between the cap and the stationary core, and the brim of the open end of the case is crimped by rolling so that the cap is held firmly in place on the case and the elastic packing and the wave washer are compressed in a thickness to form an appropriate gap between the movable contact and the stopping means when the plunger is attracted to the stationary core and the movable contact is in contact with the stationary contact.

    摘要: An adjustable pressure switch is disclosed which has a generally cylindrical plastic case with a cylindrical cavity formed in one side. A mating, cylindrical pressure plate fits within the cavity and is spaced away from the bottom of the cavity by a resilient annular member. A top electrical contact member is mounted to the pressure plate and a bottom electrical contact member is mounted in the case, with the two contact members being normally maintained in spaced relation by the resilient member. A compression ring fitting within a groove in the cavity in the case holds the pressure plate firmly in position. Force applied to the pressure plate urges the same toward the bottom of the cavity until the two contact members make electrical contact. The amount of force required to close the switches can be adjusted by adjusting the position of the top contact member, formed as a set screw threaded into the pressure plate, or by selecting the shape or material of the resilient annular member.

    摘要: A method for adjusting the operating gap between the actuator beam (11, 12) and the moveable contact spring (13, 14) of a piezoelectric relay to achieve a gap (gf) of a width to achieve optimum relay reliability. A fixed contact (24) upon which the contact (35) of the spring (13) rests, is mounted on a bracket (25) in turn mounted on the relay substrate (15) by a solder layer (30). The relay actuator beam (11), normally adapted to raise the spring (13) to separate the contacts, is separated from the spring (13) by an initial gap (g) and is energized by an adjust voltage (Va) of a magnitude to exert a force just equal to the spring force. The solder layer (30) is then heated to the melting point to permit the spring (13) to force bracket (25) downward and itself into contact with the beam (11). When the forces exerted by the beam (11), the fixed contact, and the spring (13) reach equilibrium, the solder layer (30) is allowed to set and the adjust voltage (Va) is removed. The beam (11) restores, leaving the desired gap (gf) between itself and the spring (13).

    摘要: A readily adjustable electrical switch, such as a coin-actuated switch, is provided by placing a divider element between, but for the major portion of its length separated from, two resilient switch blades, each of which is independently adjustable by an associated adjusting member, such as a setscrew. An electrical indicating circuit and a weight and lever arrangement are utilized to adjust the setscrews so that one switchblade bears against a free end of the divider element with a predetermined force, while the other switchblade is precisely spaced from the first switchblade so that contact elements on the switchblades will not engage until a force of the desired magnitude is applied to the second switchblade.
