    Abstract: There is provided a lighting system, comprising a control unit (10), a solar panel (20) for plugging into the control unit, and at least one light (32) connected to the control unit. The control unit comprises a control circuit (12), a battery bay for receiving at least one battery (16) that supplies battery power to the control circuit, and a socket (14) for receiving a plug (24) of the solar panel for supplying solar power to the control circuit. The control circuit (12) detects whether the solar panel is plugged into the control unit, and in response switches from a battery power mode in which the control circuit powers the at least one light from the battery power, to a solar power mode in which the control circuit powers the at least one light from the solar power, wherein the solar power mode is an energy saving mode which uses less energy in comparison to the battery power mode.

    Abstract: A multi-axis pivoting knuckle for a light fixture that allows for pivoting the light fixture about a horizontal axis and rotating the light fixture about a vertical axis. A single tightening bolt can secure movement of the light fixture in both axes. Tightening the bolt compresses a face plate that secures a brake pad against a toothed neck around the vertical axis of rotation. Tightening the same bolt also compresses a top stem against a base mount to engage annular geared teeth on each. A ground stake has a slotted neck port for receiving a base stem with lugs on the pivoting knuckle. A rotating collar on the neck port can selectively block the slots on the neck port. A wire slot is provided through the ground stake, neck port, and rotating collar allowing for removal and insertion of connected electrical wires.

    Abstract: The present invention is a novel light-emitting basin which includes a body. A surface of the body protrudes or is recessed to form a chamber. The body and/or a chamber wall of the chamber is in an atypical shape or a polyhedron shape. At least part of the chamber wall of the chamber forms a luminous body which is light reflective or light refractive. By using the novel light-emitting basin of the present invention, the surface of the body protrudes or is recessed to form a chamber. Fittings such as electric parts can be disposed in the chamber and thus could not be damaged easily.

By means of the design according to the present disclosure, the lamp holder can be stably installed outdoors for use and has a quick adjustment of installation height, a reasonable distribution of wires and a drainage function, which meets a requirement for using outdoors.

    Abstract: A light device and package is disclosed including a light device with a diffuser and a light emitting element arranged so as to generate light through the diffuser which receives electrical power from an electrical power storage device recharged by a photovoltaic device with control circuitry arranged to control power supplied from the electrical power storage device. A test device is included having two conductors connected across a test switch. A device package is included having an opaque and light transmissive package portions and contains the light device and the two conductors. In a first configuration, the test switch is connected between the electrical storage device and the light emitting element via the two conductors, and in a second configuration, the test switch and the two conductors are disconnected from the light device. The test device can be used with multiple light devices and may be secured by a pull-tab.

    Abstract: An outdoor light holder structure includes: a holder body, a partitioning plate being disposed in the holder body; an assembling member buckled with the holder body; a first electro-conductive plate received in a first through hole of the holder body, the first electro-conductive plate having a first tip section and a first stop section extending to the assembling member; a second electro-conductive plate received in a second through hole of the holder body, the second electro-conductive plate having a second tip section and a second stop section extending to the assembling member, the first stop section and the second stop section being slightly raised from the partitioning plate; and a conductive wire disposed between the holder body and the assembling member. The first and second stop sections are inlaid and engaged in the conductive wire to secure the conductive wire with holder body.
