A multi-axis pivoting knuckle for a light fixture that allows for pivoting the light fixture about a horizontal axis and rotating the light fixture about a vertical axis. A single tightening bolt can secure movement of the light fixture in both axes. Tightening the bolt compresses a face plate that secures a brake pad against a toothed neck around the vertical axis of rotation. Tightening the same bolt also compresses a top stem against a base mount to engage annular geared teeth on each. A ground stake has a slotted neck port for receiving a base stem with lugs on the pivoting knuckle. A rotating collar on the neck port can selectively block the slots on the neck port. A wire slot is provided through the ground stake, neck port, and rotating collar allowing for removal and insertion of connected electrical wires.
Abstract:
A simulated landscape rock having a hollow shell with an exterior surface that resembles a rock. One or more lighting cans are installed on an interior surface of the hollow shell. Where the simulated landscape rock is set-up by selectively drilling a hole through the exterior surface of the hollow shell in-line with one or more of the lighting cans. Each lighting can is configured to removably receive a light fixture with illumination from the light fixture directed through the hole drilled in the exterior surface.
Abstract:
An apparatus for equalizing voltage across an electrical lighting system, particularly in low voltage landscape lighting systems. The apparatus consists of a plastic cylinder having open ends and containing two or more connectors for connecting a homerun wire from a transformer to wire leads from the various light fixtures in the lighting system. The wire leads are of uniform length to ensure that each light fixture is ecu distant from the transformer.
Abstract:
An illuminated golf cup is internally lighted by a light source disposed within the cup. The light source is suspended in the bottom of the cup by being secured to the underside of an insert in the cup. The light source is directed upward from the bottom of the cup to cast light up and out of the cup. The light illuminates the opening of the cup and the flag in the cup, making the golf cup more visible from a distance and in low light.
Abstract:
The present invention is an apparatus which facilitates the installation, maintenance, service, and/or replacement of a light fixtures on a substrate. The inventive apparatus comprises a main brace, main clamp, and a universal nut. The main brace ideally consists of two mounting surfaces and one support surface having a clamp channel. The main clamp consists of one or more retaining spring arms and retaining teeth and attaches to the main brace adjacent to the clamp channel. The main clamp is affixed to the main brace through the use of mechanical securing means. The universal nut has a threaded bore, a circumferential channel, and one or more retaining notches. The threaded bore of the universal nut is designed to receive a threaded mounting stem which may be attached to a light fixture. Either with or without a mounting stem, the universal nut slides into the main clamp, which is attached to the main brace. When the universal nut is in the appropriate position, the retaining teeth of the main clamp interlock with the retaining notches of the universal nut to secure it in place. In use, the mounting bracket may be secured to a tree, building, or other surface by securing the two mounting surfaces using screws or other mechanical securing means. The light fixture may then be attached separately to the universal nut and then inserted into the clamp channel.

This invention relates to a lighting fixture support with a pivoting mounting bracket. More specifically, this invention is aimed at providing a well-type lighting fixture for use in outdoor, below ground lighting settings which is easily positioned at various angles with respect to the ground. The inventive mounting bracket comprises a first bracket which is connected to a second bracket at a pivot point. One or more dimples on either of the brackets are operatively connected to one or more sets of ratchet teeth on the other bracket. The dimples and sets of ratchet teeth cooperate to secure the first bracket into discrete positions about the pivot point with respect to the second bracket.
