Abstract: The invention relates to a valve for interruption of a fluid flow along a fluid flow path passing through the valve, the valve includes an inlet adapter, a valve body connected to the inlet adapter, a seal arranged between the inlet adapter and the valve body with a seal opening through the seal for the fluid flowing when the valve is open, a motor control gear unit, and a sealing body with a ball segment-shaped sealing surface element and bearing element arranged on the side of the sealing surface element. The sealing body is mounted within the valve body so as to be rotatable around an axis running substantially perpendicular to the fluid flow path and through the bearing element.

Abstract: A valve body for an automotive transmission includes a pressure regulator valve in the casting for controlling oil pressure within the torque converter. The valve has a bore to provide fluid communication with an exhaust circuitry in the transmission when the valve is moved by oil pressure from a first position to a second position. The regulator valve prevents excessive pressure and damage from ballooning of the torque converter housing. In an alternative non-lockup torque converter, a check ball in a modified separator plate moves to open and close an oil path in the plate to thereby control oil pressure.

Abstract: Various beverage preparation systems and methods are disclosed. The beverage preparation system can include a dispensing unit configured to receive beverage, such as a shot of espresso, from a beverage preparation machine. The dispensing unit can include a dispensing unit with a first end and a second end. The dispensing unit can be rotatable between an upright position and an inverted position. The dispensing unit can be configured to receive the beverage through the second end when the dispensing unit is in the upright position, and can be configured to receive cleansing fluid through the second end when the dispensing unit is in the inverted position. In some embodiments, when the dispensing unit is in an intermediate position between the upright and inverted positions, the dispensing unit is configured to dispense the beverage out of the first end and into a cup or other vessel.

Abstract: A hammer union back pressure regulator is provided. The hammer union back pressure regulator comprises a regulator body, a bonnet, a housing and a flow control member. The regulator body defines a flow inlet, a flow outlet, and a flow passage in fluid communication with the flow inlet and the flow outlet. The bonnet is coupled to the regulator body with a hammer union nut. The flow control member is configured to adjust the pressure at which the hammer union back pressure regulator will allow flow through the flow passage.

Abstract: A backflow valve assembly for preventing gas and backup waste from escaping a floor drain includes a tube that is configured to fluidically couple to a drain line. A pipe is coupled to and axially positioned in the tube. The pipe has upper and lower ends that are closed. At least one gasket is coupled to an inner surface of the pipe and defines upper and lower chambers. Penetrations are positioned through the pipe to allow flow of gasses and liquids into the pipe. First and second balls, which are less dense than water, are positioned in the upper and lower chambers, respectively. The first ball prevents escape of the gasses from the tube. The first ball floats to open the gasket to permit the flow of the liquids to the drain line. The second ball floats to close the gasket to prevent escape of waste from the tube.
