The base plate and the end plate are connected with a connecting element. A plurality of washers is arranged within the bellows, the washers having a tronconical shape at at least one of their major surfaces. The washers are in mutual contact with each other or with the base plate or the end plate respectively, both in the straight configuration and the bent configuration, such that element can transmit pushing and pulling forces both in the straight configuration and the bent configuration without substantially changing the length of the element.

The inner cable is slidably disposed within the hollow interior and grease is disposed in a clearance defined between an outer circumferential surface of the inner cable and an inner circumferential surface of the outer cable. The inner cable consists of a single metal wire coated with a metal plated layer, the plated layer has a thickness between 3 and 35 microns and the clearance is between 0.05 to 0.5 millimeters.

A connector interconnects the first and second ends (32 and 34) of the core element (30) for maintaining the core element (30) entrained about the wheels (16 and 20) regardless of the orientation of the core element (30) as the core element (30) passes through the housings (12 and 14). The connector is characterized by a first loop (64) attached to the first end (32) of the core element (30) and a second loop (34) attached to the second end (34) of the core element (30) and a single unitary link (68) extending through the loops (64 and 66), i.e., the loops (64 and 66) extend through holes (80) in the ends of the plate-like link (68).

摘要： A mechanical transmission mechanism with rolling unit includes an input member, an output member and a transmission medium for transmitting a mechanical input. The input member includes a driving gear which is enveloped in a casing with a peripheral channel that is confined between a partial circumference of the driving gear and an inner face of the casing. The casing has two openings formed on both ends of the peripheral channel and connected respectively and tangentially to a pair of guide channels so as to form a guide path that extends between the input and output members. The transmission medium is a plurality of rolling bodies which are packed in the guide path and which are disposed alternatingly in juxtaposed lines along the guide path. Each of the rolling bodies is in rolling contact with adjacent rolling bodies. A line of rolling bodies matches the driving gear to enable each of the rolling bodies in the line to move rollingly along the guide path to drive rollingly the rolling bodies of an adjacent line and thus drive the output member when the driving gear is in operation.
