    Abstract: An emergency two-way shut-off valve comprises a housing and two valve members having openings therethrough which when the valve members are spaced apart, permit flow of fluid through the valve but, when the valve members are pressed together, are blocked off by imperforate portions of the valve members. Both valve members are movable and spring-urged apart towards respective stops within the housing.

    Abstract: A combined relief valve and lid structure is provided for pre-mix beverage and syrup containers having a tubular body enclosing a relief port in the lid, an annular valve seat surface about the relief port and raised higher than the lid surface and drain ports extending from the valve seat surface down to the lid surface to enhance drainage of the entire internal portion of the valve body. The relief port is closed by a spring biased poppet and has a biasing spring held in place in the top of the tubular body by a one-way detent and retainer clip arrangement which must be destroyed to remove it from the valve body to gain access to the relief valve poppet. The valve cannot be tampered with unless this retainer clip for the valve spring is destroyed. The retainer clip is ported to permit cleaning steam or other fluid to enter the top of the valve and drain off through the drain ports without accumulation of condensate or residual fluid in the valve. The poppet is basically cylindrical with relieved vertical side portions or flats to enhance drainage and exposure of the valve surface for cleaning.

    Abstract: A flow metering valve for regulating the flow of fluids contaminated with particulate matter includes a valve housing with a translatable valve member disposed within the housing and space apart from the interior walls of the housing by guide means which minimize the contacting areas of the moving surfaces, substantially reducing the risk of particulate matter being drawn therebetween and seizing the moving parts. Metering ports are unevenly arranged around the housing such that the flow of pressurized fluid through the housing operates to load the valve member into tight engagement with the areas immediately surrounding the metering ports so as to provide substantially zero clearance therebetween, and further aid in prohibiting the intrusion of contaminants between the moving surfaces.

    Abstract: A venting device for use in withdrawing fluids from kegs which is generally T-shaped having a center leg and crossarms, said center leg and crossarms having communicating passages formed therein. The lower portion of the center leg has a keyed head with outlet passages therein for engaging the keyed operating member of a valve. One crossarm has a gas source inlet nozzle and the other crossarm a safety vent. The crossarm is used as a handle for rotating the device to open and close the valve.
