Abstract:
A communication apparatus is provided. The communication apparatus includes: a reading unit which reads original document data from a page of a transmission original document; a transmission unit which transmits original document data read by the reading unit to a designated destination; an acquisition unit which wirelessly acquires identification information capable of identifying a specific original document transmitted by the transmission unit in one communication from a wireless tag attached to each of a plurality of pages of a target original document; and an extraction unit which extracts the specific original document from the target original document based on the identification information acquired by the acquisition unit.
Abstract:
A job processing apparatus which processes job data in cooperation with another job processing apparatus is provided. The job processing apparatus comprises an analysis unit configured to analyze a processing status of predetermined job data, and a determination unit configured to determine, in accordance with the analyzed processing status, whether the job processing apparatus has an operation authority to the job data. The job processing apparatus also comprises a prohibition unit configured to prohibit an operation of the job data when the job processing apparatus is determined not to have the operation authority.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a printing system suitable for use at photo studio(s) and permitting printing of color photograph(s) as desired by user(s). Client machine(s) 5A, 5B may acquire photo image(s) from digital camera(s) 6 and may carry out editing (retouching and/or print layout/design editing) of photo image(s). At the start of editing, working color profile(s) may be set for photo image(s) editing operations, and color matching may be carried out on photo image(s) using color profile(s) for digital camera(s) 6 and working color profile(s). During editing, such photo image(s) may be displayed at monitor(s), at which time color matching may be carried out on such photo image(s) using monitor color profile(s) and color profile(s) for such photo image(s). After editing is completed, edited photo image(s) and working color profile(s) for same may be sent to print server machine(s) 2. Print server machine(s) 2 may carry out color matching using printer color profile(s) for output printer(s) and working color profile(s) for such photo image(s), may create print image(s) for such photo image(s), and may send such print image(s) to output printer(s) 3A and/or 3B.
Abstract:
A job execution system has a portable terminal apparatus and a job execution apparatus capable of being interconnected. Job data stored in a storage of the portable terminal apparatus is automatically transmitted to the job execution apparatus, if establishment of a connection between the portable terminal apparatus and the job execution apparatus is detected on the portable terminal apparatus, or alternatively, if establishment of a connection between the portable terminal apparatus and the job execution apparatus is detected on the job execution apparatus and then a request for the job data is transmitted to the portable terminal apparatus from the job execution apparatus.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method and system that only destroys documents that a party wants destroyed. The system also maintains a record of destroyed documents and saved documents. The foregoing may be accomplished by: placing information directly on a document that uniquely identifies the document; placing information in a database that uniquely identifies the document in which information was placed, and the date, if any, in which the document is scheduled to be destroyed; scanning the placed information on documents that are going to be destroyed; attempting to destroy the document; and checking in the database to determine whether or not the document should be destroyed, whereby if the database indicates the document should be destroyed, the document is destroyed, and if the database indicates that the document should not be destroyed, the document is not destroyed.
Abstract:
A job history managing system which is capable of efficiently narrowing down a corresponding job, even if image information has been leaked, and eliminating variation in search results to realize the search result with a high accuracy. The job history managing system has a client PC 11 as a job outputting apparatus. The job history managing system includes a print server 12 that collects job tracking information including search target image which is image information related to output contents of a job outputted from the client PC 11, an archive server 15 that accumulates the job tracking information collected by the print server 12, an image search server 16 that extracts and registers a characteristic value of the image information on the search target image in the job tracking information accumulated by the archive server 15, and a switching unit that switches a process of extracting the characteristic value of the image information on the search target image, depending on a generation condition of the job.
Abstract:
A first acquiring unit acquires a print target image. A storage unit has stored thereon a combination image to be combined with the print target image in association with a judgment condition for determining whether the combination image is combined with the print target image. A second acquiring unit acquires attribute values related to the print target image or a print environment when starting execution of printing of the print target image. A judging unit makes a judgment based on the attribute values acquired by the second acquiring unit and the judgment condition stored in the storage unit about whether the attribute values satisfy the judgment condition. A combination controller performs control to combine the combination image with the print target image when the judging unit judges that the attribute values satisfy the judgment condition.
Abstract:
A printing apparatus has a filter ID, the number of deleted print jobs, and a print job deletion filter including at least one filtering condition registered therein. The filtering condition includes a job attribute, a keyword, and a search method. Upon receiving a print job including print data and job information from a print server system, the printing apparatus determines whether the job information contained in the print job satisfies the filtering condition. If the job information contained in the print job satisfies the filtering condition, the printing apparatus deletes the print job identified by the job information.
Abstract:
An image processing system which can easily change settings on a linking image processing apparatus when a linked image processing apparatus is replaced to result in changes in setting information such as an IP address and functions of the image processing apparatus. The image processing system comprises an image processing apparatus, and another image processing apparatus which performs a processing through linkage with the image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus receives configuration information including identification information which identifies an apparatus and function information which represents functions of the apparatus, compares the configuration information received by the receiving unit with configuration information about the image processing apparatus, and reports to the another image processing apparatus that there is a difference in the identification information or in the identification information, as a result of the comparison made by the comparison unit.
Abstract:
A communication apparatus which is capable of preventing transmitted data from being illegally viewed or tampered with. Image information to be transmitted is input via an operating display section. A system controller determines whether or not confidential transmission of the input image information has been designated by the user. When it is determined that confidential transmission of the input image information has been designated, a network controller encrypts the input image information using IPsec and transmits the encrypted image information, whereas when it is determined that the confidential transmission of the input image information is not designated, the network controller transmits the input image information without encrypting the same.
