Abstract:
A system and method for providing call-back options is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a call in a call routing system, providing at least one call-back option for a caller to receive a call-back, re-allocating resources in the call routing system based at least in part on the at least one call-back option, and calling the caller based on the at least one call-back option. The caller may specify a specific time, a relative time, or a time range when a call-back is preferred. The caller may also specify one or more telephone numbers in combination with the time preferences. The call-back may be initiated by a voice response unit (VRU) and additional call-back options may be presented to the customer who responds to the call-back.
Abstract:
A user may accelerate or decelerate the speed of playback of a recorded message provided by an interactive voice response (IVR) system at any time during the course of listening to the recorded message. The user may provide speed control instructions using predetermined keys or buttons on a communications device to modify the speed of the recorded message playback. Alternatively or additionally, the user may speak words to adjust the speed that a recorded message is being played to them. A speed control instruction may cause some or all of the recorded message to be repeated.
Abstract:
A method of creating a parallel graphical interface in addition to a voice menu by an application that is running on a computerized mobile device during a phone call. When a user is initiating a phone call by the computerized mobile device to an operator, the application is recognizing the number and associating an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) code with the operator. After a session is created between the application and the operator, a parallel graphical interface is created in addition to a voice menu, according to the IVR code. The graphical interface is presented on the screen of the computerized mobile device while running the voice menu. Activity of the voice menu is synchronized with the activity of the graphical interface so the user may select options from at least one of: (i) voice menu; and (ii) graphical interface, to navigate through the IVR code. The options that were selected are transmitted to the operator.
Abstract:
Provided is a method and terminal for wireless local area communication enabling nearby terminals to be paired by generating an identifier containing identification information of an application and randomly selected channel information; broadcasting the identifier to external terminals; performing a pairing procedure with an external terminal having responded to the broadcast identifier; and communicating data related to the application with the paired external terminal.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for automatically responding to mobile phone short messages, comprising the following steps: step a, set a short message auto responding number and auto responding content; step b, when receiving a new message, judge whether the sender number of the new message needs an auto response; step c, if the number needs an auto response, respond the auto responding message to the sender of the short message. The method for automatically responding to mobile phone short messages provided in the invention can auto respond short messages to one or some phone numbers according to the requirement of a user, and can input auto responding content according to the requirement of the user, thus greatly helping the user respond a short message in time on special occasions.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for instant activation of virtual PBX services on a mobile device are disclosed. In one aspect, a user request for activating virtual PBX services is received on a mobile device. An available primary identification number for the virtual PBX services is retrieved from a telecommunication service provider (TSP). A user interface is presented on the mobile device including a first interface portion presenting the available primary identification number and a second interface portion configured to receive a user identifier. Upon receiving the user input specifying the user identifier and while the user interface is still presented on the mobile device, a user instruction for activating the virtual PBX services is received. Upon receiving the user instruction, the user identifier is sent to the TSP. Then, a confirmation is received from the TSP.
Abstract:
A telephone has a key pad with ten number keys arranged to dial the digits from 0 to 9 inclusive, each of these number keys being marked with a visual indicator denoting the digit which the number key is arranged to dial. The 1 and 9 number keys are provided with tactile indicators, distinguishable from one another by touch, so that a user can dial 911 by touch under conditions, such as in thick smoke or during a power failure, when the visual indicators on the keys are not readily distinguishable. The tactile indicators do not substantially obscure the visual indicators on the keys bearing the tactile indicators. An existing telephone may be retrofitted with the tactile indicators by providing two auxiliary members which can be secured to the 1 and 9 number keys, preferably with adhesive. Additional tactile indicators distinguishable by touch may be provided on other keys needed to dial 911 on cordless or cellular telephones, such as the on and send keys on such telephones.
