    摘要: A method for temporarily blocking incoming and outgoing wireless communication is provided with a mobile-phone disrupting unit and a motion sensor in a vehicle. A current speed of the vehicle is monitored with the motion sensor and then a plurality of communication disrupting signals is emitted by the mobile-phone disrupting unit if the current speed of the vehicle exceeds a minimum-speed threshold. When the current speed drops to the minimum-speed threshold or a lower speed, the process of emitting the plurality of disrupting signals is disabled so that the user can utilize the mobile phone. The mobile-phone disrupting unit and the motion sensor is either operatively integrated into the vehicle or housed within a self-containing enclosure.

    摘要: In various embodiments, apparatus, systems, and methods for detecting an intoxicated driver of a vehicle and preventing operation of the vehicle are presented. In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises an air intake configured to intake an air sample from a predetermined detection zone. The predetermined detection zone is defined as a three-dimensional zone substantially in or in proximity of an area of a vehicle occupied by a driver. An operator detection sensor detects the presence of the driver within the predetermined detection zone. The operator detection sensor automatically operates the air intake when the operator is detected. A detector module comprises a sensor configured to produce an electrical signal representative of a blood alcohol content of the driver. A control module is electrically coupled to the detector module to control at least one operation of the vehicle in response to the signal received by the control module from the sensor.

User account data is searched using selected parameters from the wireless device activity data to identify one or more subscribers that are or were using a wireless device. Vehicle operation data from one or more vehicle monitoring systems is received. The vehicle operation data is used to determine whether any of the one or more subscriber vehicles were moving during use of an associated wireless device.

    摘要: An apparatus, system, and method for detecting an intoxicated driver of a vehicle and preventing operation of the vehicle are presented. In one embodiment, a detector module comprises a sensor that produces an electrical signal corresponding to a predetermined blood alcohol content of the driver. The blood alcohol content of the driver is determined by sampling the alcohol content of the air within a predetermined vehicle zone. A control module is coupled to the detector module to control at least one vehicle operations in response to the electrical signal from the detector module. In another embodiment, a cell phone contains the detector module and is wirelessly coupled to the control module. A vehicle status module is included in some embodiments.
