Abstract:
A device for anchoring constructions in the ground, having a tubular support column or support element and having supporting plates arranged in a supporting plane, wherein the tubular support column is in the form of a continuous part which extends from the supporting plane to above the ground, the tubular support column, the supporting plates and the connecting webs consist of steel, the tubular support column or the support element, the supporting plates and the connecting webs are connected together by screw connections, and the supporting plates are connected to the tubular support column by connecting webs.
Abstract:
A bollard apparatus for use as a fixed vehicle barrier including a bollard member having a base end and a foundation assembly adapted for fixed ground engagement. The foundation assembly comprises a housing part dimensioned and arranged for retaining the base end of the bollard member together with cementing material for cementing the bollard member to the foundation assembly within the housing part. The inclination of the bollard member relative to the foundation assembly is adjustable while the cementing material is not set (e.g. cured or hardened or rigid) and is fixed upon the cementing material becoming set thereby to cement the inclination of the bollard member relative to the foundation assembly.
Abstract:
A bollard apparatus for use as a vehicle barrier including one or more bollard members, and one or more separate foot members each adapted for ground engagement by placement upon (or shallow-mount embedment within) a ground or floor surface. To each of the foot members is fixed at least one bollard member upstanding therefrom. At least one collar member is positioned within a respective through-opening in a respective foot member wherein the collar member is fixed to the base end of a bollard member and circumscribes the bollard member thereat. The collar member is upstanding from the surface of foot member from which the bollard number is also upstanding.
Abstract:
An anti-ram system and method of construction having a shallow mounted base pad from which extend a plurality of bollards. Very little or only a shallow excavation is required for the base of the bollard system, which can be partially or fully assembled prior to bringing it to the installation site. The shallow mounting pad or base of the bollard system of this invention may be formed or constructed in various ways and of various materials, and in various configurations. The shallow mounting pad or base is constructed so as to have considerable mass.
Abstract:
A bollard assembly having a post and a sleeve. The post has a cylindrical post wall forming a cavity, an insert included with in the cavity and a longitudinal passage in the post wall. The insert has a helical wedge at its lower end with a gap in the wedge. The sleeve has a cylindrical sleeve wall forming a cavity and a latch pin that is attached to the sleeve wall and extends into the cavity. The sleeve is adapted to receive the post such that the latch pin travels through the passage in the post wall and the gap in the wedge of the insert wherein the insert can then be rotated such that the latch pin and gap are no longer aligned and the latch pin prevents upward movement of the insert and post.
Abstract:
Surface anchor with automatic cover, for firmly and securely fixing a functional surface element, which includes a surface anchoring device (1) to be cemented in a perforation in the ground, with a tubular surface anchoring structure (3) inside which is attached a coupling device on which is screwed, using a simple quick locking screw, a support device (2) for a parasol or other functional surface device, with an automatic covering device (31) that plugs the device when not in use, preventing tripping accidents, and the ingress of external bodies.
Abstract:
A stabilizer (10) for an in-ground member (12) includes: a mounting collar (16) having a channel (18) extending therethrough; a plurality of arms (20a-20d) having respective collar ends (30a-30d), the collar ends being adapted to extend through the channel and engage with the mounting collar; and a resilient member (40) being sized (a) to be disposed within the channel between the collar ends and (b) to be engaged by the in-ground member so as to urge the resilient member against the collar ends to force the collar ends against the mounting collar, whereby to rigidify the stabilizer. A method is disclosed for installing the above-described in-ground member into the ground to dispose a portion of it beneath the surface of the ground and to leave a portion of it extending above the surface of the ground. The method includes: inserting the collar ends (30a-30d) through the channel (18) of the mounting collar (16) so that the collar ends engage with the mounting collar; inserting a resilient member into the channel (18) so that the resilient member supports the collar ends, engaging the in-ground member with the resilient member; and driving the plurality of arms into the ground.
Abstract:
A delineator includes a post having a bottom portion and a stem extending from the bottom portion. At least a portion of the post is moveable in a lateral direction between an at-rest position and an impact position. An anchor includes a top and an elongated receptacle. In one aspect, the stem is removably inserted in the receptacle and is moveable in a longitudinal direction between at least a first position and a second position relative to the receptacle as the flexible post is moved between the at-rest position and the impact position respectively. A first portion of the length of the stem is disposed in the receptacle when the stem is in the first position and a second portion of the length of the stem remains disposed in the receptacle when the stem is in the second position, wherein the first portion is greater than the second portion. Methods of removably retaining a boundary in a pathway and of installing a boundary in a pathway are also provided.
Abstract:
A post mounting arrangement for ground installation of a post comprising a tubular body portion (6) which is adapted to be installed into the ground and has an open end adapted to receive a post (2) to be supported. The open end of the tubular body portion comprises an enlarged flange portion defining a head portion (14) of the tubular main body portion (6). The head flange portion (14) includes a resilient retaining collar (12, 12′) adapted to receive and engage the post, and a strengthening band (8). The head portion (14) comprises a first recess (22) defined therein within which the said collar (12, 12′) is engaged and mounted, and a second recess (20) defined in the head portion adapted to receive the said strengthening band (8). The collar may comprise a shock absorbing element (12′) having a groove (42) capable of receiving an expansion ring (44) to lock the element into place and seal it both to the post (2) and the head portion (14). Alternatively, the head portion (14) further comprises a separate cap (10) which is adapted to be fitted to and engages with said head portion (14) to enclose said recesses (20, 22) and secure said collar (12) and strengthening ring (8) within said recesses.
