The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire including at least one component selected from the group consisting of a sidewall, a base tread, a bead apex, a clinch apex, an innerliner, and an undertread, each of which is formed from a rubber composition that contains a highly purified, modified natural rubber whose pH is adjusted to 2 to 7, and carbon black and/or a white filler.

The defoaming agent includes; hydrophobic silica having a hydrophobicity (MX) of 50 to 85, and a rate of change (MY/MX) of a hydrophobicity (MY) after immersion for 1 hour in a methanol/ion-exchange aqueous solution (volume ratio of 80/20) of sodium hydroxide with a pH of 13 at 25° C. to the hydrophobicity (MX) of 0.8 to 1.0; and at least one kind of liquid selected from the group consisting of a hydrocarbon oil, a non-reactive silicone oil and a polyoxyalkylene compound.

Natural rubber in the latex is separated from the water. The methods and process advantageously may include the step of drying the plant material to a moisture content of about 18% to about 36% to produce a feedstock, performing at least a first grind of the feedstock, optionally adding an antioxidant to the feedstock, combining an extraction solvent with the feedstock after the antioxidant has been added to the feedstock to form a miscella, and recovering rubber from the miscella.

The processes are particularly useful with plant matter that comprises at least 90% by weight roots sourced from Taraxacum kok-saghyz (Russian dandelion), Scorzonera tau-saghyz (Tau-Saghyz), Scorzonera uzbekistanica, and combinations thereof. Also provided herein is a purified non-Hevea rubber product containing 100 phr of rubber sourced from Taraxacum kok-saghyz, Scorzon-era tau-saghyz, Scorzonera uzbekistanica, and combinations thereof, having a specified purity level. Additionally provided are sulfur-vulcanizable rubber compounds and sulfur-vulcanized rubber compounds that incorporate 10-100 phr of purified non-Hevea rubber product sourced from Taraxacum kok-saghyz, Scorzonera tau-saghyz, Scorzonera uzbekistanica, and combinations thereof, having a specified purity level.
