    摘要: A tank simulator apparatus includes: a piping flowpath configured to receive a flow of a gas, the piping flowpath defining a buffer volume and including a receptacle for receiving gas flow at an upstream end thereof; a pressure transducer disposed in flow communication with the piping flowpath, the pressure transducer being configured to measure a pressure of the gas and generate a signal representative thereof; a pressure regulator disposed in flow communication with the piping flowpath and configured to maintain the pressure of the gas at a setpoint value; and an electronic controller operably connected to the pressure transducer and the pressure regulator, the electronic controller programmed to feed a time-varying setpoint value to the pressure regulator, the setpoint value following a tank profile representative of a tank having a predetermined volume.

    摘要: Systems and methods for fuel dispenser security are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a user seeking access to a protected function of the fuel dispenser is presented with a challenge that is encrypted using a secret key that is unique to the fuel dispenser. To access the secured function, the user must obtain a session password from a server which authenticates the user, decrypts the challenge using a counterpart of the secret key, determines whether the user is authorized to access the secured function, and returns the session password extracted from the challenge only when the user is authorized. The server can thus control access to certain fuel dispenser functions according to a set of user access privileges. The challenge can also include additional information which can be used by the fuel dispenser and/or by the server to store a log of access activity.

According to one method, first historical metering data associated with a fuel flow meter and second historical metering data associated with a reference meter are maintained within a memory. The first historical metering data is compared with the second historical metering data. It is determined whether a difference exists between the first historical metering data and the second historical metering data that can be corrected by calibration of the fuel flow meter. In response to determining that a difference exists between the first historical metering data and the second historical metering data that can be corrected by calibration of the fuel flow meter, an automated calibration of the fuel flow meter is performed.

    摘要: A device for verifying the amount of gasoline dispended by a gasoline pump is disclosed. The device comprises a housing containing a flow meter with said housing adapted to receive a gas pump nozzle and having an exit nozzle which is received by an intake gasoline channel of an automotive vehicle. In this manner, the housing and corresponding flow meter is integrated between the gas pump nozzle and gasoline-receiving channel of the vehicle. A display on the flow meter housing records the amount of gasoline dispensed therethrough. A user is then able to compare the recorded amount on the flow meter display with the amount recorded on a gas pump display. In an alternative version, a flow meter is incorporated within the gasoline-receiving channel of a vehicle. An automotive display then displays the volume of gasoline pumped into the vehicle for comparison with the volume displayed on the gas pump display.
