Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble transmissions or receptions. A method of a UE includes receiving a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) that provides a system information block (SIB). The SIB includes an indication for (i) a first transmission configuration indication (TCI) state that provides a first set of quasi-collocation (QCL) properties and (ii) for a second TCI state that provides a second set of QCL properties. The method further includes transmitting a first PRACH according to the first TCI state and a second PRACH according to the second TCI state.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for coverage enhancement of Msg3. A method for operating a user equipment includes receiving a system information block (SIB) that provides information mapping physical random access channel (PRACH) resources to enable or disable repetitions for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission in a random access procedure and a first time domain resource allocation (TDRA) table. An entry of the first TDRA table indicates a number of repetitions of a PUSCH transmission. The method further includes determining a PRACH resource for transmission of a PRACH, determining, based on the PRACH resource, a TDRA table from between the first TDRA table or a predetermined second TDRA table. No entry of the second TDRA table indicates a number of repetitions for a PUSCH transmission. The method further includes receiving a first grant scheduling transmission of a first PUSCH and transmitting the first PUSCH.

A method for a user equipment (UE) to transmit a first channel includes receiving first information for a first downlink reference signal (DL RS) and a set of numbers of repetitions. The method further includes determining a first reference signal received power (RSRP) value for the first DL RS, a first spatial filter corresponding to the first DL RS, a first exposure value for the first spatial filter, and a first number of repetitions from the set of numbers of repetitions based on the first RSRP value and the first exposure value. The method further includes transmitting the first channel with the first number of repetitions using the first spatial filter.

Abstract: Base stations and user equipments (UEs) for random access and contention resolution. A method for operating a UE includes receiving configurations for a first control resource set (CORESET) that includes a first number of resource blocks (RBs) in a frequency domain and a first number of symbols in a time domain, a second CORESET that includes a second number of RBs in the frequency domain and a second number of symbols in the time domain, and a reference signal received power (RSRP) threshold. The method further includes determining a first RSRP value and receiving a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The first PDCCH reception is in the first CORESET when the first RSRP value is larger than the RSRP threshold and the first PDCCH reception is in the second CORESET when the first RSRP value is smaller than the RSRP threshold.

The spatial filters correspond to spatial relations with reference signals (RSs), respectively. The first and second spatial filters are different. The first and second numbers of repetitions are different. The method further includes transmitting the signal or the channel using the first spatial filter for the first number of repetitions and using the second spatial filter for the second number of repetitions. The second number of repetitions is transmitted after the first number of repetitions.

The NCR C-link is associated with a first cell on a first carrier frequency. The NCR BH-link is associated with a second cell on a second carrier frequency. The first carrier frequency is different from the second carrier frequency.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for scheduling enhancements for wireless communication systems. The method further includes canceling PDCCH receptions corresponding only to third search space sets from the first search space sets.
