Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for coverage enhancement of Msg3. A method for operating a user equipment includes receiving a system information block (SIB) that provides information mapping physical random access channel (PRACH) resources to enable or disable repetitions for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission in a random access procedure and a first time domain resource allocation (TDRA) table. An entry of the first TDRA table indicates a number of repetitions of a PUSCH transmission. The method further includes determining a PRACH resource for transmission of a PRACH, determining, based on the PRACH resource, a TDRA table from between the first TDRA table or a predetermined second TDRA table. No entry of the second TDRA table indicates a number of repetitions for a PUSCH transmission. The method further includes receiving a first grant scheduling transmission of a first PUSCH and transmitting the first PUSCH.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for radio frequency exposure mitigation. A method for a user equipment (UE) to transmit a first channel includes receiving first information for a first downlink reference signal (DL RS) and a set of numbers of repetitions. The method further includes determining a first reference signal received power (RSRP) value for the first DL RS, a first spatial filter corresponding to the first DL RS, a first exposure value for the first spatial filter, and a first number of repetitions from the set of numbers of repetitions based on the first RSRP value and the first exposure value. The method further includes transmitting the first channel with the first number of repetitions using the first spatial filter.

Abstract: Base stations and user equipments (UEs) for random access and contention resolution. A method for operating a UE includes receiving configurations for a first control resource set (CORESET) that includes a first number of resource blocks (RBs) in a frequency domain and a first number of symbols in a time domain, a second CORESET that includes a second number of RBs in the frequency domain and a second number of symbols in the time domain, and a reference signal received power (RSRP) threshold. The method further includes determining a first RSRP value and receiving a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The first PDCCH reception is in the first CORESET when the first RSRP value is larger than the RSRP threshold and the first PDCCH reception is in the second CORESET when the first RSRP value is smaller than the RSRP threshold.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for multiple concurrent random access procedures. A method for operating a user equipment includes receiving first configuration for a random access (RA) procedure, initiating a first RA procedure on a cell based on the first configuration, and initiating a second RA procedure on the cell prior to completion of the first RA procedure. A method for a base station includes transmitting a first random access response (RAR) and a second RAR. The first RAR includes a first temporary cell radio network temporary identifier (TC-RNTI) and a first uplink grant. The second RAR includes a second TC-RNTI and a second uplink grant. The method further includes receiving a first PUSCH scheduled by the first uplink grant and a second PUSCH scheduled by the second uplink grant. The first PUSCH includes the first TC-RNTI. The second PUSCH includes only the first TC-RNTI or both the first and second TC-RNTIs.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for transmitting or receiving a signal or a channel. A method for operating a user equipment (UE) to receive the signal or the channel includes receiving a configuration for spatial filters, determining first and second spatial filters from the spatial filters, and determining first and second numbers of repetitions. The spatial filters correspond to spatial relations with reference signals (RSs), respectively. The first and second spatial filters are different. The first and second numbers of repetitions are different. The method further includes transmitting the signal or the channel using the first spatial filter for the first number of repetitions and using the second spatial filter for the second number of repetitions. The second number of repetitions is transmitted after the first number of repetitions.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for timing information for network controlled repeaters (NCRs). A method for an NCR includes identifying, by an NCR mobile termination (NCR-MT) entity, first information for a first downlink (DL) frame timing associated with first DL receptions on an NCR control link (C-link) and second information for a second DL frame timing associated with second DL receptions on an NCR backhaul link (BH-link). The method further includes receiving, by the NCR-MT entity on the NCR C-link, a DL signal or channel using the first DL frame timing and receiving, by an NCR forwarding (NCR-Fwd) entity on the NCR BH-link, a first radio frequency signal using the second DL frame timing. The NCR C-link is associated with a first cell on a first carrier frequency. The NCR BH-link is associated with a second cell on a second carrier frequency. The first carrier frequency is different from the second carrier frequency.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for scheduling enhancements for wireless communication systems. A method for receiving physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) includes receiving first information for first search space sets for scheduling on a first cell from the first cell and second information for second search space sets for scheduling on the first cell from a second cell. The method includes determining a first number of PDCCH receptions over a first number of non-overlapping control channel elements (CCEs) on the first cell in a first slot based on the first search space sets and identifying that at least one of the first number of PDCCH receptions exceeds a predetermined number of PDCCH receptions and the first number of non-overlapping CCEs exceeds a predetermined number of non-overlapping CCEs. The method further includes canceling PDCCH receptions corresponding only to third search space sets from the first search space sets.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for cross-carrier scheduling across different discontinuous reception (DRX) groups. A method includes receiving first information for a first and second sets of values for a first set of DRX timers associated with first and second DRX cell groups, respectively; receiving second information, from a first cell, for scheduling on a second cell; and receiving a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) on the first cell. The first and second DRX cell groups do not have a common cell. The first and second cells are from the first and second DRX cell groups, respectively. The method further includes determining a first DRX Active time for the first DRX cell group based on the first set of values and the PDCCH reception and determining a second DRX Active time for the second DRX cell group based on the second set of values and the PDCCH reception.
