    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to providing frequency diversity for communications in an unlicensed spectrum are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, an opportunistic frequency-switching configuration for a first frequency band and a second frequency band. The first frequency band and the second frequency band are shared by a first network operating entity and a second network operating entity. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device, a first communication signal in a first frequency band based on the opportunistic frequency-switching configuration. The first wireless communication device switches from the first frequency band to a second frequency band based on the opportunistic frequency-switching configuration. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device after the switching, a second communication signal in the second frequency band based on the opportunistic frequency-switching configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may transmit, and a UE may receive, via a configuration message, a group identifier indicating a group of UEs with which the UE is associated, the group of UEs being one of multiple groups of UEs which are each allocated resources. The base station may transmit the group downlink control information message to the group of UEs, and the UE may receive the group downlink control information message. The UE may determine that the group downlink control information message pertains to the UE by associating the group identifier with the group downlink control information message. The base station and the UE may communicate in accordance with the group downlink control information message based at least in part on the UE being associated with the group to which the group downlink control information message pertains.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a transmitting device using shared radio frequency spectrum may perform a listen before talk (LBT) procedure for at least a minimum dwell time and, upon successful completion of the LBT procedure, may occupy the spectrum for up to a duration of a channel occupancy time (COT). The transmitting device may discontinue transmitting during the COT for a gap period, and resume transmitting subsequent to the gap period without performing another LBT procedure. The minimum dwell time may be based on a periodicity of a channel reservation signal transmitted by one or more other devices using the shared radio frequency spectrum. In some cases, the transmitting device may schedule one or more receiving devices with resources for transmissions during the COT, and the receiving devices may perform a LBT that is non-adjacent with an associated transmission.

    Abstract: Indication of transmission priority class is disclosed for sharing a base station's maximum channel occupancy time (MCOT) for use in autonomous uplink (AUL). Aspects of the disclosure provide for implicitly sharing the MCOT by providing an indication of transmission opportunity (TxOP) length. A serving base station sends an indication of a current TxOP length in control signals to a user equipment (UE). The UE may then infer a set of potential transmission priorities used by the serving base station according to the TxOP length, as TxOP length may relate to the MCOT, which itself may be associated with a particular transmission priority class. The UE may then, conservatively, select the highest transmission priority of the set of potential transmission priorities for autonomously transmitting any uplink data having at least the selected highest transmission priority within configured AUL resource of the current TxOP.

    Abstract: Random access channel (RACH) configurations for new radio (NR) shared spectrum (NR-SS) networks are disclosed. A base station may perform a listen before talk (LBT) procedure on a shared communication channel at a beginning of a discovery measurement timing configuration (DMTC) window. In response to a successful LBT, the base station may transmit synchronization signals over a plurality of directional beams according to a predetermined sequence. The user equipment (UE) may determine the predetermined sequence through the detected synchronization signals. The base station may signal configuration of additional random access resources when the LBT procedure delays beyond dedicated random access resources. The base station may then monitor for UEs to transmit random access signals from each direction corresponding to directional beams within the additional random access resources according to the predetermined sequence.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides for receiving a downlink transmission for wireless communications. A user equipment (UE) may receive, on a primary component carrier, an indication that a subframe of a secondary component carrier includes a discovery reference signal. During the subframe, the UE may receive, on the secondary component carrier over an unlicensed spectrum, a transmission including the discovery reference signal. The UE may rate match the transmission based on the indication. The disclosure further provides for discovering timing information during wireless communications. The UE may receive on a primary component carrier, an indication that a set of subframes of a carrier of a neighboring cell includes a discovery reference signal. The UE may determine a subframe to receive the discovery reference signal based on the indication. The UE may receive during the subframe, the discovery reference signal from the neighboring cell in an unlicensed spectrum.
