Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first edge application server (EAS) discovery message from an application client that is external to the UE. The UE may transmit a second EAS discovery message to an edge enabler server (EES) based at least in part on the first EAS discovery message. The UE may receive, from the EES, an EAS response message. The EAS response message may indicate a failure of a discovery request associated with the application client or the EAS response message may indicate an EAS associated with the application client. The UE may transmit an indication of the failure of the discovery request or an indication of the EAS to the application client. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for concurrently performing handoff-related measurements for neighbor cells using multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna resources. In one example, a mobile device is in communication with a serving cell. Handoff-related measurements of first wireless signals from a first neighbor cell are performed. The first wireless signals are received at first MIMO antenna resources of a device. Handoff-related measurements of second wireless signals from a second neighbor cell are performed, as well. The second wireless signals are received at second MIMO antenna resources concurrently with the first wireless signals received at the first MIMO antenna resources. The first handoff-related measurements and the second handoff-related measurements may be performed during a scan interval. A type of handoff-related measurement to perform may be determined based on a determined length of the scan interval.

Abstract: A delta configuration is signaled for handover of a wireless communication device (e.g., a user equipment, UE) from a first form of connectivity to a second form of connectivity. For example, a UE with master cell group (MCG) connectivity may be handed-over to multiple radio access technology-dual connectivity (MR-DC). In some examples, a UE with standalone (SA) connectivity may be handed-over to non-standalone (NSA) connectivity (e.g., dual connectivity). In conjunction with this handover the UE may be signaled as to whether the UE is to reuse a configuration from the first connectivity mode during the second connectivity mode.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) reduces delays associated with inter-radio access technology (IRAT) measurements. In one instance, the UE determines whether a first signal quality of a serving cell, a second signal quality of an intra frequency neighbor cell of a serving RAT (radio access technology), and/or a third signal quality of an inter frequency neighbor cell of the serving RAT is below a first threshold. The UE also determines whether a fourth signal quality of at least one cell of a neighbor RAT is above a second threshold. The UE further allocates one or more measurement gaps for a synchronization channel decoding procedure for the neighbor RAT based at least in part on the determining whether the fourth signal quality is above the second threshold and determining whether the first, second, and/or third signal quality is below the first threshold.

Abstract: In an application such as voice over LTE (VoLTE), a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle length may be as short as 20 milliseconds (ms). An inter-radio access technology (IRAT) or intra-RAT measurement may be performed during a 6 ms measurement gap with a 40 or 80 ms periodicity. This may greatly increase user equipment (UE) wakeup time duration during a DRX cycle, and thus the UE's power consumption to perform an inter/intra-RAT measurement. The UE can align a beginning of a UE generated inter radio access technology (IRAT) measurement gap with a beginning of a discontinuous reception (DRX) wakeup period. A secondary receive chain of the UE can perform the detection and measurement of a neighbor cell during the aligned measurement gap. This way, the primary receive chain of the UE can carry on communication tasks such as VoLTE call during the DRX wakeup period.
