Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for avoiding conflicts of resources assigned to one or more signals with resources assigned to Random Access Channel (RACH) in an Integrated Access and Backhaul (TAB) network. Configurations for first and second sets of signals are obtained for a first and second base station (BS) respectively. Based on the obtained configurations, a RACH configuration is determined for the first BS for performing a RACH procedure with the second BS over a wireless backhaul link, wherein one or more Physical RACH (PRACH) occasions according to the determined RACH configuration do not conflict with resources used for at least one of the first or the second set of signals. The determined RACH configuration is communicated to the second BS, wherein the second BS transmits a RACH signal to the first BS based on the determined RACH configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may initiate a beam management procedure, including reference signal transmission to a user equipment (UE) and receive beam training. A base station may configure a UE to monitor a set of beams for reference signals. Based on the received reference signals, the UE may optionally select one or more transmit beams for wakeup signal reception, and may transmit an indication of the selected beams to the base station. The base station may transmit a wakeup signal over the originally configured or the UE-selected transmit beams to initiate wake-up procedure at the UE. The base station and UE may subsequently perform a refined beam management procedure, providing a refined reference signal transmission from the base station. Based on the received transmission, the UE may select a refined beam for downlink transmissions.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station through a first active beam, the first active beam comprising a serving beam. The UE may receive a first reference signal and a second reference signal associated with beam tracking from the base station, where the first reference signal is received through a first beam of a first plurality of beams and the second reference signal is subsequently received through a second beam of a second plurality of beams, and where the beam tracking includes identifying a new beam for communication between the UE and the base station. The UE may communicate with the base station through a second active beam based on at least one of the first reference signal or the second reference signal associated with the beam tracking, the second active beam comprising the new beam.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may transmit a first physical random access channel (PRACH) transmission that includes a first random access (RA) preamble to a base station. The apparatus may determine whether to transmit to the base station a second PRACH transmission that is concurrent with the first PRACH transmission in time, wherein the second PRACH includes a second RA preamble. The apparatus may transmit, to the base station, the second PRACH transmission that includes the second RA preamble when the second PRACH transmission is determined to be transmitted. The first RA preamble and the second RA preamble may be different, and the first RA preamble and the second RA preamble may be concurrently transmitted in a same PRACH occasion or in different PRACH occasions that overlap in time.
