Abstract: A delta configuration is signaled for handover of a wireless communication device (e.g., a user equipment, UE) from a first form of connectivity to a second form of connectivity. For example, a UE with master cell group (MCG) connectivity may be handed-over to multiple radio access technology-dual connectivity (MR-DC). In some examples, a UE with standalone (SA) connectivity may be handed-over to non-standalone (NSA) connectivity (e.g., dual connectivity). In conjunction with this handover the UE may be signaled as to whether the UE is to reuse a configuration from the first connectivity mode during the second connectivity mode.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may receive protocol data units (PDUs) in multiple TTIs (e.g., slots). The wireless communication device may generate, for each TTI of the multiple TTIs, a descriptor that identifies serial numbers (SNs) of PDUs that are received in the TTI. The wireless communication device may aggregate the descriptors for the multiple TTIs into an aggregated descriptor that identifies the SNs of the PDUs across the multiple TTIs. The wireless communication device may process the PDUs received in the multiple TTIs based at least in part on the aggregated descriptor. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. The method may include receiving an UL grant for each CC of a plurality of CCs. In an aspect, each UL grant may include a number of transport blocks (TBs) assigned to each CC. The method may further include sorting CCs among the plurality of CCs as a function at least in part based on the number of TB for each of the CCs, and transmitting one or more packet data units (PDUs) using a subset of CCs of the plurality of CCs. In an aspect, the subset of CCs may be based at least in part on the sorting, and any CC of the plurality of CCs in which only medium access control (MAC) padding PDUs would be transmitted may not be included in the subset of CCs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device may receive, at a first operational layer of the receiving device, one or more protocol data units (PDUs) within a set of PDUs. The receiving device may identify, at a second operational layer of the receiving device, a sequence gap associated with a missing PDU from the set of PDUs, the first operational layer being a lower operational layer of the receiving device than the second operational layer. The receiving device may determine, at the second operational layer, that a triggering condition associated with the missing PDU has occurred. The receiving device may provide, by the second operational layer and based at least in part on the triggering condition occurring, an indication to update a reception buffer of the first operational layer to a last received protocol data unit of the set of PDUs.

Abstract: A method for reordering data by an electronic device is described, including receiving a first set of data packets via a first radio access technology (RAT). Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for implementing a radio link control (RLC) layer and/or packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer window advance with holes (e.g., one or more missing packets) are provided. One technique includes generating a sequence of packets for transmission to an apparatus. A determination of whether to request the apparatus to at least temporarily ignore missing packets from the sequence is made based on one or more criteria. A message with an indication of the determination is transmitted to the apparatus. The apparatus may receive the sequence of packets, detect missing packets in the sequence, and process the sequence of packets in accordance with the indication in the received message.

The method generally includes performing communications with a base station (BS) using radio components tuned to a first air interface, detecting a tune-away of the radio components from the first air interface to a second air interface while performing the communications, and scheduling one or more packets for retransmission to the BS upon completion of the tune-away, wherein the one or more packets are one or more packets that failed to be transmitted due to the tune-away.

A method is provided for wireless communications. The method generally includes determining one or more blocks of data in a current packet matching one or more blocks of data in one or more portions of one or more previous packets stored in a memory, compressing at least a portion of the current packet based on an enhanced compression format having reduced metadata relative to another compression format to indicate one or more of the matching blocks of data, and transmitting the compressed current packet. Numerous other aspects are provided.
