Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for aperiodic measurement configurations. In one aspect, delaying transitioning of a secondary cell group (SCG) to an active state until a next synchronization signal block (SSB) or periodic reference signal may result in an excessive delay in obtaining network resources of the SCG. Some aspects described herein enable a base station (BS) to transmit signaling using a master cell group (MCG) cell to schedule resources for an aperiodic reference signal transmission and measurement using the SCG. For example, the BS may transmit signaling to a user equipment (UE) to identify a reference signal resource for an aperiodic reference signal transmission and measurement. In this case, the BS may transmit the aperiodic reference signal using an SCG cell, and the UE may measure the aperiodic reference signal and provide a report identifying the measurement of the aperiodic reference signal.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to frequency hopping within a virtual BWP. In son aspects, a UE may determine a virtual bandwidth part (BWP) in which to frequency hop from a first narrow BWP to a second narrow BWP by a frequency offset. The virtual BWP may have a same subcarrier spacing as the first narrow BWP and a larger bandwidth than the first narrow BWP. The UE may perform communication based at least in part on frequency hopping within the virtual BWP. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: In an aspect, a UE and BS perform a RACH procedure whereby a preamble sequence group for a preamble is associated with a downlink receive capability of the UE. In another aspect, a UE and BS perform a RACH procedure whereby a preamble sequence group is associated with a group-specific RA-RNTI that is used to scramble an associated DCI communication. In another aspect, UEs performing a RACH procedure with a BS via different sets of ROs may monitor the same GC-DCI scrambled with a common RA-RNTI. In another aspect, a UE and BS perform a 2-Step RACH procedure whereby a Msg-A payload includes information indicative of a downlink receive capability level associated with the UE.

The UE may receive a message that triggers the UE to switch from using a first configuration associated with the first transmission-antenna switching capability to using a second configuration associated with the second transmission-antenna switching capability. Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for interference management with adaptive resource block (RB) allocation. In an exemplary method, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station (BS), an indication of a first set of resource blocks (RBs) to receive a first downlink (DL) transmission in a time interval, the UE receives, from the BS, an indication of a dynamically allocated second set of RBs to receive a second DL transmission from the BS in the time interval, and the UE alters one or more parameters of a receiver, based on the second set of RBs, when receiving the second DL transmission on the second set of RBs. Altering the one or more parameters may include switching a phase-locked loop (PLL) of the receiver to a center frequency determined based on the second set of RBs.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can report direct current (DC) subcarrier location information for a subset of possible combinations of bandwidth parts and component carriers supported by a base station. In one aspect, the UE can receive, from a scheduling entity, a message for activating a first combination of bandwidth parts (BWPs) and component carriers (CCs) in a list including a subset of combinations of BWPs and CCs configured for the UE. The UE can report direct current subcarrier location information for the first combination of BWPs and CCs to the scheduling entity.
