Abstract: In accordance with example embodiments of the invention there is at least a method and apparatus to perform determining, by a network node of a communication network, for assignment to at least one network device more than one resource configuration comprising a resource configuration for a contention based resource and a further resource configuration for a dedicated resource, wherein the further resource configuration is reserved as a fall back for a case where a data communication using the contention based resource is not successfully decoded by the network node; and communicating between the network node and the at least one network device information comprising the more than one resource configuration for use to communicate the data communication.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are disclosed for contention based shared preconfigured uplink resource configuration. An example method includes receiving an assignment of contention based shared preconfigured uplink resources; receiving an assignment of a common radio network temporary identifier for monitoring downlink control information indicating a negative acknowledgement for contention based shared transmission, and a dedicated radio network temporary identifier for monitoring downlink control information indicating an acknowledgement of transmission of uplink data; transmitting the uplink data using a physical uplink shared channel allocated for the contention based shared preconfigured uplink resource transmission; in response to the downlink control information indicating the negative acknowledgement and uplink grants for multiple physical uplink shared channel resources, retransmitting the uplink data on a selected one of the received uplink grants; and in response to the downlink control information indicating the acknowledgment, not retransmitting the uplink data.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of extended bandwidth allocation. In example embodiments, a first device receives, from a second device, an indication of a reference bandwidth. The first device receives, from the second device, an indication of a bandwidth extended from the reference bandwidth and receives, from the second device, an indication of at least one frequency offset of a first set of narrowbands with respect to a second set of narrowbands associated with the reference bandwidth. Then, the first device determines, based on the reference bandwidth, the extended bandwidth and the at least one frequency offset, the first set of narrowbands for communication with the second device.
