Methods and nodes, using at least one subframe, and at least one set of reference signals selected from a first or second candidate set of reference signals, each set of reference signals comprising a set of antenna ports. The method comprises assigning resource blocks by means of control channel for the data channel in the subframe; associating one set of reference signals, selected from the first or the second candidate set of reference signals with the assigned resource blocks, utilising the set of antenna ports of the selected set of reference signals, based on a set of rules related to at least the assigned resource blocks; and transmitting the data channel on the assigned resource blocks.
Abstract:
A receiver performs synchronization to a secondary component carrier in a wireless communication system. The secondary component carrier is aggregated with a primary component carrier in the wireless communication system. Side information of the secondary component carrier is utilized to reduce occurrences of a number of synchronization hypotheses in a hypothesis test in the case that synchronization to the secondary component carrier is performed. Symbol timing synchronization of the secondary component carrier is determined in accordance with the reduced occurrences of the number of synchronization hypotheses.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for facilitating synchronization between a base station (BS) and a user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system. The UE receives a synchronization signal originated by the BS. The synchronization signal is encoded with a selected cyclically permutable (CP) codeword. Encoding of the synchronization signal is facilitated by a repetitive cyclically permutable (RCP) codeword derivable from the selected CP codeword. The RCP codeword has a plurality of codeword elements each associated with a value, the value of at least one codeword element in the RCP codeword being repeated in another codeword element position in the RCP codeword. And the synchronization signal is decoded in accordance with repetitive structure of the RCP codeword.

A method is provided for arranging transmissions on a downlink carrier c, spanning a frequency range Fc, in a mobile radio communications system, wherein a bandwidth of Fc belongs to a set of predefined channel bandwidths in the communications system, and wherein the carrier c comprises a reference signal defined in the communications system. A configurable frequency range FRS comprising a set of time-frequency resources for comprising the reference signal of the carrier c is provided. Information associated with the configuration of said frequency range FRS is signaled to a receiver in the communications system, such that c can be deployed over a frequency range F smaller than Fc when the frequency range FRS is configured within F and any other transmissions on the carrier c are arranged to be within F.

The invention relates to a method for encoding a number of feedback information messages in a mobile radio communications system using carrier aggregation, the method comprising: encoding the number of feedback information messages by a set of codewords, where each feedback information message can be of at least a first kind or a second kind. The method is distinguished by that for at least one feedback information message there is at least one codeword corresponding to information of the first kind and at least one codeword corresponding to information of the second kind, wherein the modulation symbol of one of said at least one codeword corresponding to information of the first kind and the modulation symbol of one of said at least one codeword corresponding to information of the second kind have a maximum distance. Uplink control information transmission method, and a network node and a UE implementing the method are disclosed. According to an embodiment of the invention, uplink control information is transmitted from a UE to a network node by defining a set including at least one of the of uplink component carriers being usable for carrier aggregation for the UE. For this set, a priority indication is assigned to each one of the at least one uplink component carrier included in the set. Then, if this set includes at least one uplink component carrier comprising an uplink shared channel, one of these at least one uplink component carrier comprising an uplink shared channel is selected for transmission of uplink control information in that uplink shared channel. Selection based on at least one of the at least one assigned priority indication, when selecting uplink component carrier, is disclosed.

This disclosure relates to techniques for synchronization signals. The synchronization signal comprises a primary synchronization signal (PSS) generated based on a PSS sequence and a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) generated based on an SSS sequence. The SSS sequence may be generated based on a first sequence corresponding to a first cyclic shift and a second sequence corresponding to a second cyclic shift. The first cyclic shift and the second cyclic shift are associated with a Cell ID. The PSS sequence may be generated based on one of the first and the second sequences.
