Abstract: A user equipment (UE), or other network component can operate to configure channel occupancy time (COT) sharing in random access procedures involving the unlicensed spectrum. At least some of the messages for the procedures can share a COT by configuring one or more gaps or listen-before-talk (LBT) procedures based on the gap or whether the COT sharing is UE or gNB initiated. Some configurations can depend on a location in the random access procedure that COT sharing is acquired.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for an access point (AP) for a wireless communication system operating in a licensed and an unlicensed spectrum. The AP includes processor circuitry configured to determine a plurality of interleaved interlaces based on a bandwidth of a physical uplink channel and a subcarrier spacing (SCS). The processor circuitry is configured to identify a plurality of resource blocks (RBs) corresponding to a first interleaved interlace of the plurality of interleaved interlaces, which are based on a number of subcarrier per RB. The processor circuitry is configured to allocate the plurality of RBs corresponding to the first interleaved interlace among one or more user equipments (UEs), and generate an indication of the allocated plurality of RBs, the first interleaved interlace, and the one or more UEs to transmit to the one or more UEs via radio front end circuitry coupled to the processor circuitry.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for a UE and its serving base station in 5G NR systems to signal channel scan or channel sensing to allow channel occupancy time (COT) sharing before transmissions. The COT sharing may be initiated by the base station or by the UE by asserting a CCA indication to enable channel sensing by a UE or base station, respectively. When the UE receives and decodes the asserted CCA indication during downlink transmission, the UE may perform channel sensing during a short interframe space (SIFS) between the downlink transmission and a scheduled uplink transmission. When the UE detects that the sensed RF energy across an intended transmission band is greater than an energy detect threshold, the UE may refrain from transmitting during the scheduled uplink transmission. Otherwise or when the CCA indication is de-asserted, the UE may transmit during the scheduled uplink transmission without performing channel sensing.

Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE), Next Generation Node-B (gNB) and methods of communication are generally described herein. The UE may receive, from a gNB, configuration information related to a 2-step random access (RA) procedure between the UE and the gNB in unlicensed spectrum. The 2-step RA procedure may include: an uplink MsgA message that includes, within a random access occasion (RO), a MsgA preamble and a MsgA payload; and a downlink MsgB message that includes, within another RO, a MsgB PDCCH and a MsgB payload. The configuration information may indicate: resources allocated for the MsgA preamble; and a mapping between the resources allocated for the MsgA preamble and the MsgA payload. The UE may determine the resources allocated for the MsgA payload based on the resources allocated for the MsgA preamble and the mapping.

An embodiment provides an apparatus for a Next Generation NodeB (gNB), including circuitry, which is configured to: generate Downlink Control Information (DCI) payload for a NR-Physical Downlink Control Channel (NR-PDCCH); attach Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) to the DCI payload; mask the CRC with an Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) using a bitwise modulus 2 addition operation, wherein the number of bits for the RNTI is different from the number of bits for the CRC; and perform polar encoding for the DCI payload with the masked CRC.

The total DAI may indicate a total number of pairs of CCs and slots for the HARQ-ACK feedback. The UE may encode the HARQ-ACK feedback to include a bit that indicates whether the PDSCH is successfully decoded. A size of the HARQ-ACK feedback may be based on the total DAI, and a position of the bit may be based on the counter DAI.

The sequence d(n) can be defined by: d(5 n)=1.2s(n), where s(n) is a maximum run length sequence (msequence) and s(n) is provided as s(n+7)=(s(n +4)+s(n)) mod 2, where 0.n.127. The gNB can generate the primary synchronization signal based on the sequence d(n). The gNB can encode the primary synchronization signal for transmission to the UE.
