Abstract: Systems and methods for sharing location information during a message conversation are provided. An electronic device displays a message region for displaying a message transcript of messages sent between a first participant and a second participant in a message conversation. The electronic device displays a location-sharing affordance. The electronic device detects a selection of the location-sharing affordance, where detecting a selection of the location-sharing affordance by the first participant comprises detecting a single contact by the first participant. In response to detecting a selection of the location-sharing affordance, the electronic device enables the second participant to obtain the first participant location information and displays a modified location-sharing affordance.

Abstract: An electronic device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface accesses a collection of media items, organized into a hierarchy of granularity levels, each corresponding to a respective timescale. The device displays a first plurality of representations of the media items at a first granularity level, corresponding to a first timescale, and in response to a pinch gesture, replaces the display of the first plurality of representations of the media items with display of a second plurality of representations of the media items at a second granularity level that corresponds to a second timescale that is longer than the first timescale.

Abstract: While displaying a user interface that includes a plurality of application icons, a first input is detected on a first application icon associated with a first application. If the first input meets application-launching criteria which require that the first input has ended without having met a first input threshold, the first application is launched in response to the first input. If the first input meets menu-presentation criteria which require that the first input meets the first input threshold before an end of the input is detected, a contextual content object and a respective affordance that is associated with the contextual content object are concurrently displayed in response to the first input. The contextual content object includes contextually selected content automatically selected from the first application. The respective affordance, when activated, is configured to add the contextual content object to a user interface that includes information for multiple applications.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include a method for providing interactive notification elements. A device receives a first message and displays a first notification element in a first area of a user interface. The first notification element includes information about the received first message. While displaying the first notification element, the device receives a second message. In response, the device determines whether the second message is associated with the first message. In accordance with a determination that the second message is not associated with the first message, the device delays displaying a second notification element for the second message until the first notification element has been dismissed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for proactively identifying and surfacing relevant content on an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display are disclosed herein. In one aspect, a method includes presenting content in a first application. At least a portion of the content is presented without requiring input from a user. The method further includes receiving a request to open a second application. In response to receiving the request, the second application is presented with an input-receiving field. Before receiving any user input at the input-receiving field, a selectable user interface object is displayed with an indication that the portion of the content was viewed in the first application, allowing the user to paste at least the portion of the content into the input-receiving field. In response to detecting a selection of the selectable user interface object, the portion of the content is pasted into the input-receiving field.

Abstract: An electronic device displays a messaging user interface of a messaging application on the display, the messaging user interface including a conversation transcript of a messaging session between a user of the electronic device and at least one other user, a first message-input area, and a launch icon for an interactive application. While displaying the messaging user interface, the device detects an input that activates the launch icon for the interactive application. In response to detecting the input that activates the launch icon for the interactive application, the device displays a user interface for the interactive application, the interactive application user interface including a second message-input area that is distinct from the first message-input area. While displaying the interactive application user interface, the device detects input of a first message in the second message-input area. In response to detecting the input of the first message in the second message-input area, the device displays the first message in the second message-input area. While displaying the first message in the second message-input area, the device detects an input that corresponds to a request to post the contents of the second message-input area to the messaging session; and, in response to detecting the input that corresponds to the request to post the contents of the second message-input area to the messaging session, the device transmits the first message to one or more electronic devices that correspond to the at least one other user included in the messaging session, wherein the one or more electronic devices display the first message in a conversation transcript corresponding to the messaging session.

Abstract: Systems and methods for proactively identifying and surfacing relevant content on an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display are disclosed herein. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining information identifying a first physical location viewed by a user in a first application. The method further includes detecting a first input. In response to detecting the first input: a second application is identified that is capable of accepting geographic location information; and an affordance is presented that is distinct from the first application, with a suggestion to open the second application. The suggestion includes information about the first physical location. The method further includes detecting a second input at the affordance. In response to detecting the second input at the affordance, the second application is opened and populated to include information that is based at least in part on the information identifying the first physical location.

Abstract: Systems and methods for proactively identifying and surfacing relevant content on an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display are disclosed herein. In one aspect, a method includes executing, on the device, an application in response to an instruction from a user of the electronic device. While executing the application, the method further includes collecting usage data. The usage data at least includes one or more actions performed by the user within the application. The method also includes: automatically, without human intervention, obtaining at least one trigger condition based on the collected usage data and associating the at least one trigger condition with a particular action of the one or more actions performed by the user within the application. Upon determining that the at least one trigger condition has been satisfied, the method includes providing an indication to the user that the particular action associated with the trigger condition is available.

In response to detecting the swipe gesture: when the swipe gesture is in a first direction, the device replaces display of the first user interface with display of a camera application user interface; when the swipe gesture is in a second direction, the device replaces display of the first user interface with display of a mini application object user interface that is configured to include a plurality of mini application objects; when the swipe gesture is in a third direction, the device displays a first page of a multipage control panel user interface; and when the swipe gesture is in a fourth direction, the device displays a notifications user interface that is configured to display a plurality of notifications.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for facilitating the capturing of panoramic images with a portable device. Such panoramic images are typically formed of multiple image portions taking as the camera is scanned through a range of motion, and the image portions are digitally “stitched” together to form a panoramic image. A user interface is provided to guide a user in positioning and/or moving of the portable device in a manner that will enable capture of a plurality of images suited for forming the intended panoramic image. In many examples, parameters of the panoramic image capturing operation, such as movement and/or positioning of the camera during the operation will be monitored in real time, and the monitored parameters will be used to provide feedback to the user as to any adjustments that may improve the image capture process.
