Abstract:
In a distributor type fuel injection pump of the type including a plunger arranged for reciprocating and rotative motion, and a fuel injection quantity setting member slidably fitted on the plunger and engageable with a cut-off port formed in the plunger and communicating with a pump working chamber, a second cut-off port is formed in the plunger in communication with the pump working chamber, which opens in an outer peripheral portion of the plunger with which the fuel injection quantity setting member permanently slidably engages, and a plurality of spill ports formed in the setting member in a circumferentially spaced relation, which are smaller in number than the cylinders of an engine for use with the pump. When the plunger moves through each delivery stroke in a low engine load region, the second cut-off port engages each one of the spill ports successively to cause injection of fuel into only part of the engine cylinders.
Abstract:
A locked-type push button device has a plurality of push buttons and permits only any one of the push buttons to be locked in the depressed state when depressed. Each push button has a leaf spring for returning the push button to the initial non-depressing position, and has a cam engaging portion which can be engaged with a cam member when depressed. The cam member has a spring member to urge the cam member against the cam engaging portions. When more than two push-buttons are depressed, the total force of the two leaf springs of the two push buttons prevents the cam member from holding the cam engaging portions of two push buttons depressed.
Abstract:
A pneumatic radial tire is disclosed. This tire is reinforced with steel cords, each of which has such a flat or elliptic section that two or three strands, each strand being produced by twisting plural filaments, are arranged in parallel with each other so as to make the twisting directions of the adjoining strands opposite to each other to form a core and plural filaments are twisted around the core and wrapped with a spiral filament.

Abstract:
There is provided a heat exchanger realizing downsizing, weight saving, and cost reduction in comparison with a conventional heat exchange element or heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is provided with a first fluid flow portion formed of a honeycomb structure having a plurality of cells partitioned by ceramic partition walls and extending from one end face to another end face in an axial direction to allow a heating medium as a first fluid to flow therein, and a second fluid flow portion formed of a casing containing the honeycomb structure therein, the casing having an inlet and an outlet for a second fluid, and the second fluid flowing on an outer peripheral face of the honeycomb structure to receive heat from the first fluid.
Abstract:
A gas sensor element, wherein an amount of flexure in a first section extending in a longitudinal direction of the sensor element from the position 8/27 of a size of the element apart from one end of the element to the other end, is set to be greater than or equal to 1/1360 and less than or equal to 1/670 with respect to the size in the longitudinal direction of the element. The amount of flexure is a sum of a distance from a regression line to an upper side maximum displacement point and a distance from the regression line to a lower side maximum displacement point when calculating the regression line representing the relation of the position X in the longitudinal direction of the element and the displacement Y in a thickness direction from a plurality of data sets showing the relation of position X and displacement Y.

Disclosed herein is a three-dimensional image display system, including: a multi-parallax image reproduction apparatus configured to reproduce two-dimensional images, which include a plurality of parallax images within one frame, at a first frame rate; and a three-dimensional display apparatus configured to carry out multi-parallax stereoscopic moving picture display at a second frame rate based on a plurality of parallax images reproduced by the multi-parallax image reproduction apparatus where one frame of stereoscopic moving pictures is formed from a multi-parallax image formed from a predetermined number of parallax images; the multi-parallax image reproduction apparatus reproducing an image wherein control information is included in any of the parallax images for every one frame or every plurality of frames, the three-dimensional image display apparatus carrying out control in accordance with the control information included in the parallax images to carry out the multi-parallax stereoscopic moving picture display.
Abstract:
The file name (75) of a second data file is included in a first data file (32a). A position information data (76) is likewise included in the first data file (32a) for specifying the position of specific data in the second data file. A processing unit obtains the specific data from the second data file based on the description in the first data file. Specific instructions are supplied to a quality analyzing apparatus in a vehicle quality analyzing system based on the obtained data. The quality analyzing apparatus supplies electronic apparatuses or devices in a vehicle with predetermined signals in response to the specific instructions, so as to analyze the quality of the vehicle based on responses from the electronic apparatuses or devices. A set of independent files is utilized to establish the data structure. Data can be changed or modified in the individual file in a facilitated manner.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method of forming a resistance film with even thickness and at high speed even in a substrate having micro depressions and projections in its surface. A fine particle dispersion solution is prepared by adding a solution which decreases the absolute value of a ξ potential at the fine particles and a solution which decreases dispersion stability of the fine particles into a solution in which metal oxide fine particles are stably dispersed, a substrate having an insulating surface is immersed in the fine particle dispersion solution to deposit a fine particle aggregation film, and then a resistance film is obtained by performing heat treatment.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a disk drive with a compact size that makes it possible to effectively utilize space within a disk drive and permits a straightforward layout of members. The disk drive comprises a disk holder 10 that has a plurality of holder plates 11 that individually hold disks D, a drive unit 62 that plays back disks D, disk selectors 41A and 41B that form a space above and below a desired disk D by raising and lowering the holder plates 11, and a drive base 60 that moves the drive unit 62 into the space that is formed by raising and lowering the holder plates 11. The opening amount of the disk holder 10 by the rise and fall of the holder plates 11 is fixed. The height of insertion of disk D into the disk holder 10 is on the upper side between the highest holder plate 11 and the lowest holder plate 11 when the disk holder 10 is open.
