Abstract: A display panel includes a transparent substrate, a picture region, a black matrix region around the picture region, and a soft key region, a black matrix formed in the black matrix region on one side of the transparent substrate and having a first opening in the soft key region, and an overcoating layer on the transparent substrate including the black matrix, wherein a soft key is implemented in the soft key region by disposing a light source under the first opening of the black matrix. When the display panel is a touch screen panel, conductive sensing cells in the picture region and position detection lines in the black matrix region are included.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing touch screen panels includes forming a photoresist film on a first surface of a substrate having high transmittance, removing the photoresist film in regions between unit cells by utilizing exposing and developing processes, etching the substrate in the regions where the photoresist film has been removed, removing the photoresist film from the substrate after the etching, performing a tempering process on the substrate including the etched regions, forming touch screen panels at the unit cells defined by the etched regions on the first surface of the substrate, and cutting the substrate at the etched regions to separate the touch screen panels.

The flexible touch screen panel has sensing patterns formed on a thin film substrate as touch sensors, and a phase difference compensation layer formed on the sensing patterns to compensate phase difference generated by characteristics of the thin film substrate, in order to minimize deterioration of image quality. The flexible touch screen panel includes a thin film substrate having an active area and a non-active area positioned outside the active area, sensing patterns formed on the active area and sensing lines formed on the non-active area and connected to the sensing patterns.
