摘要: Provided is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having both high output characteristics and high capacity deterioration resistance in repetitive charge and discharge with a large current. A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery disclosed here includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode active material layer supported by the positive electrode current collector. The positive electrode active material layer contains a positive electrode active material and carbon nanotubes. The nonaqueous electrolyte contains a nonaqueous solvent and a supporting electrolyte. The nonaqueous solvent contains 2 to 9 volume % of a carboxylate ester that has 6 or less carbon atoms and may be optionally substituted by a fluorine atom.

摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte rechargeable battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode has a sodium concentration of greater than 532 ppm and less than 71100 ppm. The non-aqueous electrolyte rechargeable battery includes a LiBOB equivalent. The LiBOB equivalent is lithium bis(oxalato)borate in the non-aqueous electrolyte or a substance formed when the lithium bis(oxalato)borate reacts with another substance. The non-aqueous electrolyte has a hypothetical concentration of the LiBOB equivalent of 0.35 wt % or greater and 0.56 wt % or less when an amount of the LiBOB equivalent is converted into a weight of the lithium bis(oxalato)borate.

摘要: Provided is a technology which can produce a battery comprising a wound electrode assembly including separators having adhesive layers, with high productivity. In one suitable aspect of the method of manufacturing a battery as disclosed herein, the method comprises a first winding step of bringing a first separator and a second separator into contact with a winding core and winding the first separator and the second separator around the winding core; a second adhesive layer forming step of forming a second adhesive layer in the second separator; a first adhesive layer forming step of forming a first adhesive layer in the first separator; a second winding step of winding a positive electrode sheet and an negative electrode sheet around the winding core along with the first separator and the second separator; and a pressing step of pressing, after the second winding step, the first separator, the positive electrode sheet, the second separator, and the negative electrode sheet which have been wound.

摘要: Provided is a positive electrode for a secondary battery in which carbon nanotubes are used, of which an initial resistance is small, and that suppresses an increase in resistance when charging and discharging are repeated. The positive electrode for a secondary battery disclosed herein includes a positive-electrode current collector and a positive-electrode active material layer provided on the positive-electrode current collector. The positive-electrode active material layer contains a positive-electrode active material and carbon nanotubes, and substantially does not contain a resin binder. The positive-electrode active material layer includes a layer-like region that is in contact with the positive-electrode current collector, and a region other than the layer-like region. Both of the layer-like region and the region other than the layer-like region contain carbon nanotubes. A content of carbon nanotubes in the layer-like region is larger than a content of carbon nanotubes in the region other than the layer-like region.

摘要: Provided is a technique that enhances a reliability of a connecting part with a terminal and another conductive member. According to the herein disclosed technique, a battery comprises a terminal which comprises a first conductive member and with a second conductive member electrically connected to the first conductive member, and a third conductive member connected to the terminal. The second conductive member includes a crimp part at one of end parts, and a positioning part at an outer surface of the other one of end parts. The crimp part is crimped to the third conductive member. The first conductive member has a through-hole. When viewed along a central axis direction of the through-hole, the positioning part is provided to overlap with the through-hole.
