摘要: A radio frequency (RF) connector block assembly having a plurality of connector pin assemblies mounted within a multi-connector block is disclosed. Each connector pin assembly has a dielectric and a contact pin positioned in a housing. Multiple housings may be independently removably mounted in the multi-connector block with independently movable contact pins. A first end of each contact pin is adapted to provide electrical continuity with an external component, for example, a connector, and a second end of each contact pin terminates distally in a connection feature, which may be connected to an external structure, for example, a printed circuit board (PCB). Each contact pin moves axially in response to movement of the connection feature by engagement with the PCB.

摘要: A coaxial cable connector for coupling an end of a coaxial cable to a terminal is disclosed. The connector has a post assembled with a coupler. The post is adapted to receive an end of the coaxial cable and comprises a front end, an enlarged shoulder at the front end, and a plurality of contacting portions. The contacting portions are of monolithic construction with the post, collectively circumscribe the enlarged shoulder at the front end of the post, and extend in a generally perpendicular orientation with respect to a longitudinal axis of the connector. The coupler is rotatably attached to the post and comprises an internally projecting lip, having a forward facing surface, adapted to couple the connector to the terminal. The contacting portions are configured to contact the forward facing surface of the lip of the coupler.

摘要: A post-less, self-gripping coaxial cable connector for tool-less attachment to an end of a coaxial cable is disclosed. The coaxial cable connector has a body having a forward end and a rearward end and a longitudinal opening. A retainer positioned in the body has a forward section, a rearward section, and a bore. A ring is movably disposed in the retainer. A gripping member having at least one spring finger is friction fit to the body and is radially inwardly biased in a predisposed orientation. The ring has a pusher feature configured to axially move the ring upon force being applied to the pusher feature by a coaxial cable received by the body causing the gripping member to engage the jacket of the coaxial cable when the coaxial cable is installed in the coaxial cable connector.

摘要: Connectors and methods for attaching connectors to one or more cables and/or conduits are disclosed. In one example, a coaxial cable connector for connecting a coaxial cable comprising an inner conductor, an insulator layer surrounding the inner conductor, an outer conductor layer surrounding the insulator layer and an outer jacket is provided. The coaxial cable connector includes a front body comprising an opening for receiving at least a portion of a coaxial cable. The front body includes a plurality of rearward facing projections. A back nut sub-assembly includes a back nut and a retainer coupled to the back nut. The back nut is adapted to couple to the front body and the retainer is adapted to receive a least a portion of the coaxial cable. The retainer includes a plurality of forward facing protrusions adapted to engage the plurality of rearward facing protrusions when the back nut is coupled to the front body.

摘要: A coaxial cable connector for attachment to an end of a coaxial cable is disclosed. The coaxial cable connector includes a rotatable body segment having a body wall with an outer surface and an inner surface defining a width of the body wall. The body wall has a radial dimension which varies along a perimeter of the rotatable body segment. The inner surface defines a longitudinal opening extending between a forward end of the rotatable body segment and a rearward end of the rotatable body segment. A post positions proximal the forward end of the rotatable body segment. The post has a first end and a second end with a bore extending therebetween. The post is rotationally stationary with respect to the rotatable body segment. A coupling member positions proximal to the first end of the post. The rotatable body segment is rotated to close the coaxial cable connector.

The disclosed methods and tools may form a frustoconical dielectric portion at an end of the coaxial cable. An annular space formed between the outer conductor and the frustoconical dielectric portion may facilitate the introduction of the flowable medium into the annular space. The disclosed methods and tools may also flare an outer conductor at the end of the coaxial cable and engage the flared outer conductor in a corresponding flared connector.

摘要: A coaxial cable connector comprising an assembled coupler, body, and post is provided. The back end of the post and the back end of the body are adapted to receive an end of a coaxial cable. The coupler further comprises a central passage, a lip with a forward facing surface and a rearward facing surface, and a bore forward of the lip, and is adapted to couple the connector to a coaxial cable terminal. The post further comprises a collar portion and an enlarged shoulder disposed forward of the lip of the coupler within the bore of the coupler. The enlarged shoulder of the post is disposed forward of the collar portion of the post. A contacting portion of the post comprises an extension of the collar portion of the post and at least a portion of the enlarged shoulder of the post comprises a proximity feature.
