Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may utilize priority levels associated with packets or transmissions to determine whether to transmit feedback for a received transmission. The UE may compare priority levels between a transmission subject to a feedback condition and a transmission scheduled to be received when the feedback is scheduled to be transmitted to determine whether to send the feedback. The UE may communicate with the transmitting device according to the comparison and the determining. The UE may determine signal conditions causing a NAK and determine to send the NAK based on the signal conditions.

Abstract: Additional requirements for spectrum emissions may be matched with regional requirements, and an additional maximum power reduction (A-MPR) for a user equipment (UE) may be based on an actual antenna gain of the UE. For example, a UE may be located in a particular region and be required to meet regional requirements for wireless communications. In such cases, the UE may receive network signaling from a base station, and identify an antenna gain for its antenna. The UE may then identify a set of emission requirements based on the identified antenna gain and the network signaling. Additionally, the UE may identify an A-MPR based on the set of emission requirements and the antenna gain and may adjust a maximum output power in accordance with the identified A-MPR. In some examples, an output power threshold may be derived using a difference between a regional requirement and the UE's antenna gain.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and devices are described for transmissions and retransmissions of device-to-device (D2D) communications. A D2D message may be transmitted during an initial communications period, followed by one or more retransmissions. A device may transmit an initial transmission, determine a time hopping pattern for the retransmission(s), and determine a transmission resource for the retransmission(s) based at least in part on a resource of the initial transmission and the time hopping pattern. The messages may include, for example, a scheduling assignment (SA) for data transmission, or data transmissions from a transmitting device. Time hopping patterns may be determined based on times and/or frequencies of the initial transmission. A base station may transmit a message to a transmitting device that indicates one or more time hopping patterns that are to be used for the transmissions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message indicating that a base station supports allocating resources for sidelink communications using a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT that is different from the first RAT. The UE may transmit a sidelink information message to the base station using the first RAT that indicates that sidelink communications are to be performed using either the second RAT or both the first RAT and the second RAT. The UE may receive a configuration message from the base station that comprises an identifier for the sidelink communications and an indication of available sidelink resources. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the configuration message, a request for resources within the available sidelink resources, the request indicating the identifier and a buffer status report (BSR).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A UE may identify a shortened transmission time interval (TTI) to be used for priority communications with a vehicle having a first traffic priority level, the shortened TTI having a duration that is less than that of other TTIs used in other communications with the vehicle having a second traffic priority level less than the first traffic priority level. The UE may transmit a request-to-send (RTS) message during the shortened TTI, the RTS message indicating an identifier and a configuration for the priority communications during the shortened TTI. The UE may receive a clear-to-send (CTS) message from one or more wireless devices participating in the priority communications, the CTS message indicating a sequence associating the CTS message with the RTS message. The UE may perform the priority communications with the wireless devices from which the CTS messages were received.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A UE may identify a plurality of shortened transmission time intervals (TTIs) to be used for priority communications to or from a vehicle having a first traffic priority level, the plurality of shortened TTIs each having a duration that is less than that of other TTIs used in other communications to or from the vehicle having a second traffic priority level which is less than the first traffic priority level. The UE may perform a listen-before-talk procedure in order to reserve the plurality of shortened TTIs for the priority communications. The UE may further reserving at least one instance of the plurality of shortened TTIs for the priority communication. The further reserving may include transmitting a request to reserve the at least one instance of the plurality of shortened TTIs for the priority communication or performing a request-to-send/clear-to-send exchange.
