Abstract: A method of generating a time-lapse video includes: identifying an image storage mode; obtaining a first image; based on identifying that the image storage mode is an emphasis mode for emphasizing one or more images, obtaining a first time difference between the first image and a stored image, and a first feature value indicating a first amount of change between the first image and the stored image; for each respective image of a first plurality of images of a first image group stored in a memory, identifying a second image from among the first plurality of images, based on a second time difference and a second feature value; generating a second image group by removing the second image from the first image group and adding the first image to the first image group; and generating the time-lapse video by using a second plurality of images of the second image group.

Abstract: A videoconference system acquires images during a videoconference. A still image may be analyzed to identify persons participating in the videoconference. A first frame is generated for each person and represents a subsection of an image that focuses on the face of that person. These first frames may include unpleasant components. Background segmentation is performed on each first frame to remove or diminish such unpleasant components. For example, a second frame for a person may be generated by identifying the background segments in the first frame and blurring or replacing such background segments with a virtual background. When the second frames are put together, the differences in the first frames are obscured making it more pleasing to view. A composite stream of the second frames is generated, per layout rules, and sent to the far side for improved viewing of the participants at the far side.

Abstract: A method for generating cropped images depicting objects captured in video data includes receiving, at a processor of a video camera system, a video stream including a series of video frames depicting an object. A classification for the object is generated, and an occurrence of the object being detected is identified in an additional video frame(s) from the series of video frames. A motion associated with the object is calculated based on the classification and the additional video frame(s). At least one image that depicts the object and includes a cropped portion of a video frame from the series of video frames is generated, along with an associated set of at least one quality score, in response to calculating the motion. The method also includes causing transmission of the at least one image to at least one remote compute device based on the set of at least one quality score.

Abstract: A solution for managing a video conference is provided. Multiple segmentation areas or shapes are stored and made transparent. The background is recorded continuously and simultaneously in a memory presented to a user for a second participant when they are participating in a video conference with a first participant. The segmentation or transparency of objects obstructing information in view of the video conference is selected based on attributes of the first or second participant, or attributes of the video conference. The segmentation may be utilized to provide a desired view, message, or information to individuals participating in, watching, or interacting with a first participant via video conferencing. The background includes static images, a live video feed, a recorded video feed, a static webpage, a non-static webpage, on any surface without obstruction when a first participant is in front of the surface sharing information due to segmentation/transparency of the first participant.

Abstract: A method for creating a texture from input images, thereby removing representations of objects from the texture, the method comprising performing semantic segmentation in a plurality of digital input images with a plurality of semantic classes, at least one of the semantic classes relating to a target object class; identifying, in at least a first input image, one or more possible instances of representations of objects belonging to the target object class, each possible instance being constituted by a plurality of contiguous instance pixels of the image pixels; determining whether the instance pixels are target pixels, target pixels being pixels constituting a representation of an object belonging to the target object class; and replacing target pixels in the texture with replacement pixels derived from one or more of the plurality of digital input images.
