    摘要: A current transformer supplying a power for an electronic controller comprises two independent core magnetic circuits, wherein a first core magnetic circuit is a closed loop formed by connecting a U-shaped core and a linear core, a primary conductor extends through the closed loop, and a secondary winding for power supply is wound on the linear core; a second core magnetic circuit having an opening shape is disposed in parallel to the linear core of the first core magnetic circuit, and the open end of the second core magnetic circuit is coupled to the first core magnetic circuit through air gaps. The area of the cross section of the linear core is less than that of the cross section of the U-shaped core, so that the linear core can be magnetically saturated earlier than the U-shaped core. The centerline length of the U-shaped core is 1.5 to 4 times of that of the linear core. The current transformer of the present invention can not only normally start and work in case that a primary current is far lower than a rated current In, but also achieve the purpose of inhibiting rapid increase of an output current of the secondary windings and smoothing the output current in case that the primary current is far more than the rated current In.

    摘要: There is provided an inductive coupler. The inductive coupler includes (a) a housing having an aperture that extends lengthwise through the housing, a gap that extends lengthwise along a side of the housing, and a flexible region that enables the gap to be opened or closed, wherein the gap, when opened, permits the inductive coupler to be installed on a conductor by having the conductor routed through the aperture. The inductive coupler also includes (b) a magnetic core; and (c) a winding wound around a portion of the magnetic core. The magnetic core and the winding are secured to the housing such that a position of the magnetic core and a position of the winding are maintained relative to one another. The inductive coupler, when installed on the conductor, couples a signal between the conductor and the winding via the magnetic core.

    摘要: A current transforming harvester (“CTH”) is capable of producing power from a conductor on a preexisting power grid without alteration of the conductor or the preexisting power grid. The CTH includes a current transformer (“CT”) that captures energy via magnetic flux from the conductor. The CT is substantially circular and includes two halves called a “split core,” which allow the CT to easily attach to the conductor without opening the circuit in which the conductor operates. A clamping mechanism of the CTH may secure the CTH to the conductor via a pair of spring-biased clamp pads. The CTH includes circuitry that converts the magnetic flux energy captured by the CT into electrical energy suitable for consumption by an electrical device.

    摘要: An inductor for high current applications includes a nonconductive, tubular form which defines a tube axis and has a cylindrical outer surface. The outer surface is formed with a groove that extends helically about the tube axis. The inductor further includes a coiled, conductive wire that is formed with a plurality of turns. The wire is wound around the outer surface of the form with at least a portion of the wire disposed in the groove. With this structure, the form maintains a predetermined separation between adjacent turns of the coil preventing deformation of the coiled wire by strong magnetic forces that are generated when relatively high electrical currents are passed through the wire.

    摘要: A current transformer assembly comprises a toroidal core and a conductor having a body portion and a mounting portion. The conductor's body portion extends through the aperture of the toroidal core. The mounting portion is positioned for a mechanical and electrical connection between an external conductor and the current transformer. A connection is made between the body portion and the mounting portion wherein mechanical engagement is sufficient to prevent unintended separation of the body portion from the mounting portion and electrical coupling is sufficient to permit the flow of current between the body portion and the mounting portion.
