    摘要: A meter which measures fluid flow by passing the fluid through a receptacle and determining the mass of fluid in the receptacle. The shape of the receptacle, the fluid flow path within the receptacle and the receptacle outlet are chosen to ensure that for a selected fluid the mass of fluid in the receptacle is a linear function of fluid flow rate. The mass is determined by weighing the receptacle. Total mass flow is determined by integrating the mass measurement over time if particular application of the meter is as a milk meter.

A second pipe is cooled using liquid nitrogen, by emptying through this pipe to the atmosphere liquid nitrogen. The vessel is filled with liquid nitrogen, until the vessel is full. The correct proportion of oxygen/nitrogen is controlled.

Each hopper has a ball valve at the outlet spout, seated on an O-ring seat and retained with vertical guide rods. A vertical rod extends up from each ball valve to a rotary lift to be actuated when the load cell detects a predetermined load. Beneath these hoppers are surge hoppers to receive the weighed materials. Float ball valves in the surge hoppers actuate a switch to activate a motor to discharge pumps.

    摘要: A thermoplastic melting apparatus comprises a tank pivotally mounted upon bearings within the interior of a housing having a top cover. An electrical or mechanical level indicator device is mounted exteriorly of the tank which is effective to sense pivotal movement of the tank as it is loaded with and/or emptied of thermoplastic material, and to produce a signal which indicates the quantity of thermoplastic material within the tank. The level indicator device is isolated from dynamic forces produced by drive linkages which operate pumps associated with the tank, by positioning the pivot axis of the bearings in the same plane as the force produced by the drive linkage. The lid of the tank is isolated from downward forces applied to the top cover of the housing to prevent the transmittal of forces to the level indicator devices from objects placed on the top cover of the housing or the like.
