摘要: The present disclosure relates to a device for the measurement of fluids and the prevention of infections caused by probes comprising a module of fluid measurement and a probe infection prevention module. The fluid measurement module comprises an electronic module for the measurement of the body fluids; a disposable container for temporary retention of fluid during measurement; a fluid circulation tube arranged between the probe and the disposable container; and a disposable bag for the final disposal of waste fluids. The probe infection prevention module comprises a sheet equipped with adhesive allowing conformation of a flexible structure to the skin or mucosa of the patient. This module incorporates a gel externally that prevents infections, as well as internal antimicrobial components to inhibit passage of microorganisms through the system. The present invention allows non-invasive measurement of fluids utilizing existing probes while contributing to the reduction of infections in patients.

摘要: A urine collector includes a receptacle formed of a water soluble material, which may be a bioplastic, and has a receiving volume for collecting urine therein defined by its shape. The urine collector is configured to float in water in a toilet for use by a user to collect urine therein. A threshold volume indicator configured to correspond to a predetermined threshold volume may be included. A patch may be included in the interior surface to detect the presence and/or levels of various components in the urine. The urine collector may be stackable. The water soluble material may be layered on a substrate, which may be a thin sheet of paper, and may further be a non-stick paper product, such as parchment paper.

摘要: A urine collector includes a receptacle formed of a water soluble material, which may be a bioplastic, and has a receiving volume for collecting urine therein defined by its shape. The receiving volume is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold volume. A threshold volume indicator is configured to correspond to the predetermined threshold volume. The urine collector is configured to float in water and to remain buoyant for a time sufficient to allow a user to compare a volume of urine collected in the receiving volume to the threshold volume indicator. The urine collector may be stackable. The water soluble material may be layered on a substrate, which may be a thin sheet of paper, and may further be a non-stick paper product, such as parchment paper.

摘要: Disclosed herein is an automated urinary output measuring system. The automated urinary output measuring system includes an automated urinary output measuring device configured to be suspended from a rim of a sanitary hardware device and receive a volume of voided urine. The automated urinary output measuring device can include a receiving trough having an opening, a door configured to cover the opening in a fluid tight seal, the door coupled to the receiving trough by a hinge, and a lip extending from the receiving trough configured to detachably couple the automated urinary output measuring device to the sanitary hardware device. The system can further include an ultrasonic measuring system having a console coupled to one or more ultrasonic sensors, and a flushing mechanism coupled to the sanitary hardware device.

摘要: A device for measuring a rate of production of urine in a patient comprising a catheter; a pressure transducer; and a means for measuring the amount of urine produced. Urine flow from the bladder is prevented until a predetermined pressure is reached in the bladder. Urine flow is then allowed; the bladder pressure and the volume of urine exiting the bladder are measured. When the bladder pressure reaches a second, lower predetermined pressure, urine flow is again prevented. From the measured pressure during urine flow and from the volume of urine exiting the bladder, the intra-abdominal pressure and the urine production rate can be determined.

摘要: A urodynamic investigation apparatus for receipt of urine from a bladder is provided. The apparatus is characterized by a tubular element, first and second fittings, and a sleeve element, for select passage of urine there through, within the tubular element. The tubular element is characterized by opposing first and second end portions, and a port. The fittings are adapted to be received by the opposing end portions of the tubular element so as to delimit an apparatus chamber. The sleeve element, suspended between the fittings within the chamber, has collapsed and open configurations. The collapsed configuration is indicative of a no urine flow condition, and the open configuration indicative of a urine flow condition, with the sleeve element urine flow condition being a function of pressure applied to the chamber via the port of the tubular element.
