摘要: An oxygen measurement device constituting an oxygen measurement system includes a urethral catheter and an oxygen sensor main body. The urethral catheter has a shaft in which a urethral catheter lumen that enables circulation of urine flowed in via a urethral catheter port from inside a bladder is formed; and has a hub in which a urine lumen that is provided at a proximal end of the shaft and communicates with the urethral catheter lumen is formed. The oxygen sensor main body is provided on the hub in a manner capable of being brought into contact with urine circulating in the urine lumen, and detects oxygen in the urine.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a device for the measurement of fluids and the prevention of infections caused by probes comprising a module of fluid measurement and a probe infection prevention module. The fluid measurement module comprises an electronic module for the measurement of the body fluids; a disposable container for temporary retention of fluid during measurement; a fluid circulation tube arranged between the probe and the disposable container; and a disposable bag for the final disposal of waste fluids. The probe infection prevention module comprises a sheet equipped with adhesive allowing conformation of a flexible structure to the skin or mucosa of the patient. This module incorporates a gel externally that prevents infections, as well as internal antimicrobial components to inhibit passage of microorganisms through the system. The present invention allows non-invasive measurement of fluids utilizing existing probes while contributing to the reduction of infections in patients.

摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to uroflowmeters and methods for processing data generated therefrom. In one aspect, the uroflowmeter is a handheld device. The uroflowmeter includes a handle, a flow chamber coupled to the handle, and a sensor associated with the flow chamber that detects a parameter of urine received in the flow chamber. The uroflowmeter may include both reusable and disposable components. As a uroflowmeter it can identify and record data corresponding to the rate of flow over the measured duration of a void of urine, but may also timestamp the voiding act and communicate the data to an external data collection center for additional analysis and incorporation into a comprehensive voiding report or voiding diary.

摘要: A urine collector includes a receptacle formed of a water soluble material, which may be a bioplastic, and has a receiving volume for collecting urine therein defined by its shape. The urine collector is configured to float in water in a toilet for use by a user to collect urine therein. A threshold volume indicator configured to correspond to a predetermined threshold volume may be included. A patch may be included in the interior surface to detect the presence and/or levels of various components in the urine. The urine collector may be stackable. The water soluble material may be layered on a substrate, which may be a thin sheet of paper, and may further be a non-stick paper product, such as parchment paper.

摘要: A urine collector includes a receptacle formed of a water soluble material, which may be a bioplastic, and has a receiving volume for collecting urine therein defined by its shape. The receiving volume is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold volume. A threshold volume indicator is configured to correspond to the predetermined threshold volume. The urine collector is configured to float in water and to remain buoyant for a time sufficient to allow a user to compare a volume of urine collected in the receiving volume to the threshold volume indicator. The urine collector may be stackable. The water soluble material may be layered on a substrate, which may be a thin sheet of paper, and may further be a non-stick paper product, such as parchment paper.

摘要: An automated therapy system having an infusion catheter; a sensor adapted to sense a patient parameter; and a controller communicating with the sensor and programmed to control flow output from the infusion catheter into a patient based on the patient parameter without removing fluid from the patient. The invention also includes a method of controlling infusion of a fluid to a patient. The method includes the following steps: monitoring a patient parameter with a sensor to generate a sensor signal; providing the sensor signal to a controller; and adjusting fluid flow to the patient based on the sensor signal without removing fluid from the patient.

摘要: A device for measuring a rate of production of urine in a patient comprising a catheter; a pressure transducer; and a means for measuring the amount of urine produced. Urine flow from the bladder is prevented until a predetermined pressure is reached in the bladder. Urine flow is then allowed; the bladder pressure and the volume of urine exiting the bladder are measured. When the bladder pressure reaches a second, lower predetermined pressure, urine flow is again prevented. From the measured pressure during urine flow and from the volume of urine exiting the bladder, the intra-abdominal pressure and the urine production rate can be determined.

摘要: A urodynamic investigation apparatus for receipt of urine from a bladder is provided. The apparatus is characterized by a tubular element, first and second fittings, and a sleeve element, for select passage of urine there through, within the tubular element. The tubular element is characterized by opposing first and second end portions, and a port. The fittings are adapted to be received by the opposing end portions of the tubular element so as to delimit an apparatus chamber. The sleeve element, suspended between the fittings within the chamber, has collapsed and open configurations. The collapsed configuration is indicative of a no urine flow condition, and the open configuration indicative of a urine flow condition, with the sleeve element urine flow condition being a function of pressure applied to the chamber via the port of the tubular element.

摘要: A method and a device are disclosed including a urine collection device with sensors for determining the volume of the urine collected. A controller determines urine volume based on the height of sensors that show urine proximate to them within the device. A display indicates to the user whether the collected urine is sufficient for the required sample.
