摘要: An element for thermal insulation between two building parts, particularly between a building (A) and a protruding exterior part (B), comprising an insulating body (2) to be arranged between the two building parts and reinforcement elements in the form of at least tensile elements (3), extending in an installed state of the element (10) essentially horizontally and perpendicular to an essentially horizontal extension of the insulating body through said body, and respectively projecting in the horizontal direction from the insulating body and here allowing a connection to one of the two building parts preferably made from concrete. Here the tensile reinforcement elements (3) are formed as multi-part composite elements such that at least in the proximity of the insulating body (2) they have a central rod section (3a) made from fiber-reinforced synthetic material and have a separate anchoring rod section (3b) in an area outside the insulating body (2) with geometric and/or material characteristics at least partially deviating from the central rod section (3a), with the anchoring rod section (3b) and the central rod section being arranged at least essentially aligned to each other and at least indirectly fixed to each other, and with the anchoring rod section (3b) cooperating with an interior anchoring element for fixing at the central rod section (3a), which interior anchoring element engages a radially interior area of the central rod section. The central rod section (3a) comprises on its radial exterior an annular radial support element and/or a radial support area (3ab) with fibers (3f) extending at least partially in the circumferential direction of the central rod section (3a), with the interior anchoring section (3v) and the radial support area (3ab) at least partially overlapping each other.

摘要: A universal barrier system includes universal barrier components that may be assembled together to shield floors and walls from moisture and provide a thermal break in an operational area of the universal barrier component. A lap zone of the universal barrier component may allow universal barrier components to be assembled and installed to protect floors, walls, ceilings, footings and the like from moisture and heat gain or loss by minimizing the need for tapes and other joining methods. The universal barrier system may also act as a sound deadening material. The operational area and lap zone of the universal barrier component may be disposed on a vapor block layer to provide some rigidity. The operational area of the universal barrier component may include a thermal break disposed upon the vapor block layer. The thermal break may include an outer protective layer. In addition, universal barrier tape and universal barrier edging may be provided to couple adjoining universal barrier components.

摘要: A cellular structure may include a plurality of cells each having a twelve-cornered cross section. The twelve-cornered cross section may include twelve sides and twelve corners creating nine internal angles and three external angles. Each cell may include a plurality of longitudinal walls extending between a top and a bottom of the cell, the longitudinal walls intersecting to create corners of the cell. A structural component may include at least one wall surrounding a component interior space with a cellular structure having at least two cells positioned within the interior space. A sandwich structure may include first and second planar structures, and a cellular structure positioned between the first and second substantially planar structures.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for treating a plastic and/or paper waste material having steps including collecting a plastic and/or paper waste material, preferably paper, and highly preferably a release coated cellulose or polymeric sheet material. The material already includes a selected new-use additive preferably selected from flame retardant, hydrophobic material, pesticide, herbicides, minerals, nutrients, and/or mixtures thereof. The method includes the step of preparing the collected material by mixing, separating foreign bodies like metals, etc., and feeding it to a grinding station. The method also includes the step of, in one or several grinding stations, shredding and grinding the materials into small pieces.

摘要: A temperature modulating blanket utilizing a reflective surface to block radiation away from a phase change material during daylight and in thermal conductivity with the material to allow heat conduction out of the material at night at a faster rate than it is absorbed during the daylight. The blanket may be well suited for modulating temperatures of storage and other facilities. Additionally, the facilities may be uniquely configured to promote an attic circulation that further facilitates freezing and recharge of the phase change material of the blanket during night hours. For example, a secondary blanket utilizing a phase change material of a higher melting point may be placed at an elevated vent of a roof defining the attic to encourage such circulating and blanket recharge.

摘要: A method of installing an insulation batt can include expanding an insulation layer of insulation batt between a first stiffening layer and a second stiffening layer of the insulation batt; and placing the insulation batt in an insulation cavity. A connector can couple the first stiffening layer to the second stiffening layer. The connector can include a first elongated connection panel and a second elongated connection panel, and expanding the insulation can include folding the first elongated connection panel relative to the first stiffening layer and folding the second elongated connection panel relative to the second stiffening layer. The method can further include engaging a mounting tab of the insulation batt with a wall of the insulation cavity to position the insulation batt in the insulation cavity.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for producing flame-retardant porous materials comprising the following steps: (a) reacting at least one polyfunctional isocyanate (a1) and at least one polyfunctional aromatic amine (a2) in an organic solvent optionally in the presence of water as component (a3) and optionally in the presence of at least one catalyst (a5); and then (b) removing the organic solvent to obtain the organic porous material, where step (a) is carried out in the presence of at least one organic flame retardant as component (a4), where this flame retardant is soluble in the solvent. The invention further relates to the porous materials thus obtainable, and also to the use of the porous materials for thermal insulation.
