    摘要: An aqueous dispersion comprising composite colloidal particles having an average particle size of 0.05 to 1.0 micrometer each of which comprises a core made of a copolymer comprising 99-100% by weight of tetrafluoroethylene and 0 to 1% by weight of a fluorine-containing olefin which is copolymerizable with tetrafluoroethylene and a shell made of a polymer having a glass transition temperature of at least 50.degree. C. which comprises(a) 60 to 100% by mole of at least one .alpha.-substituted acrylate of the formula:CH.sub.2 .dbd.CXCOOR.sub.f (I) wherein X is a methyl group, a fluorine atom or a trifluoromethyl group, and R.sub.f is a fluoroalkyl group or a fluoro(alkoxyalkyl) group and(b) 0 to 40% by mole of at least one monomer copolymerizable with said acrylate (I), from which composite fluorine-containing polymer particles having good redispersibility in a liquid medium and improved blending properties with other resins or elastomers are prepared and from which an organosol of the composite fluorine-containing polymer particles is formed.

    摘要: The invention is a process for producing a modified polytetrafluoroethylene which comprises polymerizing tetrafluoroethylene in an aqueous medium containing a dispersing agent with a polymerization initiator source and then, copolymerizing tetrafluoroethylene one or more fluorinated modifiers having an acid functional group or a functional group which is convertible to the acid group as a copolymerizable modifier in the presence of the resulting polytetrafluoroethylene to a polymerization point past the Kraft point to produce highly porous, fibrous, stratified fluoropolymers having cores made of homopolymer of poly-tetrafluoroethylene coated with sheath layers which are made of a copolymer of polytetrafluoroethylene and one or more modifiers.The invention also includes a highly porous, fibrous, stratified fluoropolymer having a plurality of interconnected, fibrous-like projections wherein the stratified fluoropolymer has a core layer of polytetrafluoroethylene substantially completely covered by a copolymer of polytetrafluoroethylene and a fluorocarbon modifier.

    摘要: A glass fiber reinforced flexible composite material is obtained by dispersing or embedding glass fiber in a fluororesin, which is a graft copolymer obtained by grafting a crystalline fluoro-polymer to an elastomeric fluoro-polymer. For example, the graft copolymer is obtained by graft polymerization of vinylidene fluoride with an elastomeric copolymer of vinylidene fluoride, chlorotrifluoroethylene and an unsaturated peroxy compound. The composite material possesses the physical and chemical properties characteristic of fluororesins and is flexible and easily melt processable. Sheets of this composite material using a glass fiber cloth have a soft feel and can easily be joined by high-frequency welding.

    摘要: This invention relates to a method for graft-copolymerizing vinyl chloride monomer to a polyfluorine resin to produce resins of improved physical properties and processability parameters. The vinyl chloride monomer and polyfluorine resin are first treated in a highly alkaline medium and at a high temperature, and the mixture is stirred. Suspension agent(s), water and an initiator are added to the mixture after the temperature thereof has been lowered. The resultant mixture which has been stirred and homogenized is heated to a temperature at which polymerization is completed. Thereafter the mixture is neutralized, washed, and dried. A product having improved impact strength and resistance to heat and abrasion results.
